True. But looking at the graph, I’m less than excited. In addition, we have no idea if the dual DD is really going to have any benefit. I’m just much less excited than I was a day ago.

I have to disagree with some of the above comments. The overly-smoothed FG for FH5s looks improved to me, especially at 3.5k. Both the FH5 and FH3 have dips there. That’s the opposite of what I expect to sound true. I don’t have either, but comments about both 5 and 3 lead me to believe they might sound wonky af. I haven’t bought the FH3 because of it. It’s safe to reserve judgement until reviews and graphs on production units, but there’s reason to think upper mids/lower treble has improved.

Just got word from my local shop that they expect the FH5s somewhere between half or the end of may. A bit stressed about the fact that there are less and less places that still have the FD5, I hope it’ll still be available by the time I’ve made up my mind.
I wouldnt worry about the FD5 disappearing after the FH5S .

Agreed. I’m just not that concerned with that area of the FR. I have IEMs that do that perfectly for me.
Don’t take any of these comments as talking bad about the FH5s. It’s more-so coming down from the hype that we created ourselves. lol I have a tendency to think out loud about feelings here. I haven’t even heard the FH5s yet. We’re just talking. It can’t be all bad, I just ordered it! lol
Hey @Rikudou_Goku, i am trying to better understand how to describe the differences between IEMs, since you know both the FH3 and the A6 could you give me a feedback if this is accurate?
Bass
FH3 has more quantity and texture but the decay is a bit slower than the A6
A6 has less quantity specially in the mid-bass but has a faster decay and is more controlled, will not bleed into the mids no matter what
Mids
FH3 is much more forward and even a bit shouty
A6 is a bit recessed and has a more natural timber to it
Highs
FH3 is bright, clear and well defined but lacks sharpness which is very noticeable in cymbals
A6 has a all the qualities from the FH3 but has extra sharpness / sparkle / energy
Soundstage
FH3 is kind of inside your head while the A6 is super wide where you can hear instruments in different layers / distances.

Correct, but I would add that the quantity is technically quite similar, except that thanks to the speed and tightness on the A6, it is perceived as being lower in quantity compared to the FH3.
Yes, I agree on the quantity difference. But both have unnatural timbre (piezo timbre is creeping in on the A6 and the FH3 has BA timbre) but A6 is less unnatural due to me hating BA timbre.
Yes, but this also depends on the filter used on the A6.
I say the FH3 is pretty average, but the A6 is the king of soundstage.
Received my first ever Spinfit’s (CP100) and just wow!! I can’t believe how they transformed sound of FH3 compared to KZ tips I was using so far. They also make nice pop sound when I take them off, never experienced that with any tips so far, not even original that came with FH3
I now understand why you “hyped” FH3’s bass response, it’s finally fully unleashed with CP100.

Are the Sony EX10a and EX11 much alike? I just ordered the AZLA Sedna Earfit and was thinking about trying out the EX11 as well, but I already own the EX10a and those don’t have a nice fit on any of my IEMs so far. I’m back to using foams on the BL-03 and some stock tips on the FH3 since the CP100’s I have don’t fit quite right.
I ordered the M and ML of the earfit, since my right ear seems to need a slightly larger tip than my left ear.
Yes, EX10 = EX11 from what I know.

Second question I forgot to ask. Do all Final E-series come with the same tips? I can buy the E1000C for €25, but will I then get the same tips everyone is so lyrical about?
Yes, you get the type E tips (in all sizes) from all their E series.
