CRN to be using the KZ ZEX Platform:

honestly, when I saw your message, at first I thought that was a fake image

I think it’s a cool collab, but too bad, that I just ordered the ZEX non-Pro and think it is terrible :frowning:

the graph of the crinical crn looks much better than the zex, but then again I have this already:

I think the CCA C12 is a criminally underrated 30$ IEM

can you post a graph with the Zex Pro against the C12?

also, a $2600 Ethernet switch with power conditioning for audio streaming…

I think it’s like that poop shaped rock that conditions your room for audio perfection…meaning it’s shit. I come to this conclusion as they say the fact the switch is made out of a solid billet of aluminum and carbon fiber to dampen vibrations that could work their way into your audio signal. >.<

Well aint that some shit! I think it has earned this one

Anyone heard anything about the S12 Planar from Shuoer (150/$130 early bird)?

Similar graph to the Timeless.

Guess there is some ties there (OEM or whatever).

I guess they can undercut the Timeless by spending less on the magnetic carry case! Haha otherwise looks incredibly similar by graphs alone, for sure. My Timeless will come while I’m in the UK, still no idea if I’ll like it for a while.

Topping MX5 (apparently not a Miata) just dropped and it looks pretty damn good for $300. Only complaint I can see having is they could have had a third gain setting at 0db and probably gotten a little more versatility out of the headphone out. I don’t know what happened to having a 0 gain setting but it’s irritating that companies have started to leave that out.

SMSL SU-6(SMSL SU-6 Decoder + SMSL SH-6 Headphone Amplifier + RCA Cable — HiFiGo) and SH-6 (SMSL SH-6 Mini Desktop Headphone Amplifier — HiFiGo) dropped too and the SH-6 looks like a pretty decent dirt cheap entry level headamp at $120 with decent power for the money and is undoubtedly clean like SMSL usually is.

so…more snake oil is being released.

an audiophile specific motherboard:

an audiophile specific SSD:

I’ve been having fun joking with the NVMe and posting ‘take my money’ gifs, and was going to do the same here…until I actually looked at that motherboard. Now I’m just outright pissed off at the combination of what they are selling/the price they are selling it for.

I didn’t find anything on the price for the mobo. what’s it going to go for?

my gripe is it’s 4 generations old…8th or 9th gen of Intel CPU, which are almost impossible to find new now.

if the pcie and m.2 ports have good noise isolation from gpu ground loop problems then $500 isn’t bad considering the cost of a decent motherboard is already $250-$500 anyways it could probably be pretty decent for recording especially. idk how much of that could possibly translate to listening since there’s ways around what it’s kinda trying to solve in the first place but for recording i would think it would be easier to master having less noise in the recordings to edit out. all speculation and i have no idea what i’m talking about but might actually have a purpose.

yikes…nevermind

$500.

That’s true for decent motherboards. This is what you are getting though.

I should have asked what that audio focused SSD is going for.

Oh, that I have no idea. I looked but couldn’t find a price. I’m assuming it will be something suitably absurd though, lol.

agreed.

just realized though, this isn’t snake oil, this is snake electrons!

If that SSD was a Samsung 980 EVO Plus, I might have considered it but after hearing that amalgamation of an SSD “improves” audio, I knew it was fucking bullshit at the start.

I might be able to buy into an Audiophile motherboard being more phesable… though a heavy focus on eliminating crosstalk, emi, making the on-board audio as close to dedicated hardware as possible… but I don’t see it happening

They don’t have a price yet, not a finished product. From the forum post:

“We are currently offering 2 test samples for experienced CAT users who willing to share your experience and feedbacks, if you are willing to participate in the experience, please send private message.”
