I considered buying hifiman in the past (didn’t end up getting one), but this stunt coupled with just bad qc just sort of seals the deal.
I have Sundara and I like those. I was hesitant to get them because of all the QC concerns but so far those are ok. I have Arya on my list but for that price the built is just bleh. I know it is all about the sound but in that price range other brands have like perfect build and looks which is part of the experience as well.
I saw interview I think Resolve did with the CEO and he was overconfident all the time. I mean he for sure knows his stuff and from what I read Hifiman high end stuff is great. I just dont understand why you have to behave the way he does.
Kinda the same thing with topping, really like some of their products but the designer is kinda an ass sometimes too, and recently qc issues have been growing in prevalence. I’ll still recommend their stuff because of the sound for money some of it can offer, but it’s still kinda off-putting. Although topping hasn’t started making blatant clones of existing designs recently lol

Don’t know how they even passed the design and was like… "yeah that is a unique design " for sure able to beat our competition. There are so many ways to design your headphone. This looks either malicious if intentional. Ignorant if an accident. Don’t matter if it’s better than the competition at least make it less derivative. Also at least make it easier to take outside and not like an ass like the Sony’s do. And then they Immidiately beat beat them aesthetically. What I’m trying to say is they could have hired the person that designed the b and o headphones cause those are gorgeous and I love seeing them on the bus unlike most wireless headphones
This stack is gonna look really cool if this amp doesn’t make the Asgard redundant.
Pretty sure the asgard 3 won’t become redundant mainly because of it’s single ended performance, and most likely because of different sonic goals

Yeah, this seems to directly match up or serve as a successor to the Jotunheim from the looks of it, if there is no direct number replacement for the Jotunheim coming.
I’ve never heard of Matrix Audio, but they have launched their mini-i Pro 3 and mini-i WiFi(Pro Only)/Bluetooth(AptX/AptX HD/LDAC) LAN(10 Base T or 100 Base TX)
Seems pretty neat, matrix audio makes some pretty great stuff like their d2d converters and dacs in the higher end

I saw reviews of some Matrix audio stuff from Darko and Soundnews I think.

I honestly have to say, I hate the starfield cable so much. The stock ssr cable is better. That alone makes me not a fan.
However, pretty paintjob!
Yeah kinda disappointed in this drop. But a lot of cable sensitive folks are gonna pick this up and try to pick out differences in cables. I’m here just waiting for the SSP to drop

They moved the date up from October for those two.
