Oof yeah that won’t work for me

The limited edition is a little too close to the mark. Do not call it a dongle, it is a bar.

honestly the GO Bar is too big to be a dongle…it’s an adapter, even borderline converter, LoL!

There are so much dongles that are limited to 250mW that I though it’s due to a USB/phone/android limitation. Let’s wait for the reviews then, well see how ifi managed this prowess.

interesting.

I’m curious what other kinds of ‘earbud’ there are that they had to specify flathead.

FIIO HEADPHONES AND A SPEAKER!?! :eyes:

The speaker part isn’t so surprising, but the headphones are. Am curious what they’ve been cooking. Fingers crossed it’s not another mainstream/commercial cashgrab :crossed_fingers:t2:

Beryllium (coated no doubt) drivers, sensible graph, and what looks like very accessible innards for easy custom tuning/damping?

US $89.00 | NiceHCK Youth Earbud 8.8mm Beryllium Plated Diaphragm Dynamic HIFI Audio Earphone Studio Music Headset Detach 2pin IEMS Lofty

EDIT: Not badly priced at all:

This looks like a well priced/featured player, but even fr $70 I’d want to see its interface in action.

Dang just noticed that it only takes MicroSD cards up to 128GB… I wonder what that limitation’s all about? Only single-ended output too, and I haven’t found anything in the specs that say what the power output is.

It’s hard to beat the Xduoo X2s at this price point and putting a touchscreen into such a cheap and small device is also questionable

I’m checking if that can be a BT receiver which is pretty key for a DAC in my case, particularly if it can’t have Amazon Prime Music installed (not my choice, but happy to have been grandfathered into it thanks to parents in law’s generosity)…

Nope, no BT mentioned. Also has the same bizarre 128gb limit for storage cards, and single-ended. I’m agreed on the interface though, with a low powered chip the simpler the better.

I’m a pretty big fan of the Shanling M0, despite the interface being fiddly on something so small. The fact it could work as a BT receiver and also basically be the size of a dedicated receiver was impressive. They use to pop up for $60 used quite often, all DAPs and DAC have taken a price hike as of late / are scarce.

Looks like the cheapest Xduoo (new price) to offer two-way BT is the X10T II @ around $230. It’s a shame, for me that’s probably all that’s missing from their $60 one.

EDIT: Snooping about, you can actually still get M0 for $70 (new!) from China. The power output from the 3.5mm jack is higher than either a BTR3K or an ES100. I might buy one (for the 3rd time in my life!) if I can use it the same way I’m using the ES100, but also as a stand alone player to be distraction free at times. The interface is somewhat finnicky though. Also it can cost a decent amount for the case that has a clip on it, it has no clip by default.

EDIT again: I removed the link. The eBay seller has 0 feedback. Second time this week finding a DAP for a low price from a Chinese eBay seller that is always selling one other random product to try to add credibility to the DAP listing.

My M0 still gets quite a bit of use. It’s a bit like a Swiss army knife that lives in my bag, although I use it more as a transport or transmitter lately.

Plugging into my laptop gives me LDAC from Windows and I also use it to transmit to the Go Blu a lot (since an update broke LDAC on my phone).

Maybe I should quit this forum… I just ordered a M0 after reading this post

I had my eye on it for a while after testing many bluetooth receivers and found the Shanling UP5 to have the best sound… but roundabout 200$ for just a BT receiver :frowning:

The UP4 is much cheaper, but I didn’t have a chance to try and it also has only BT4 (some reasons I didn’t buy the M0 so far).

The M0 was also on my radar as it has pretty much the lowest output impedance of pretty much any device I could find, which should make it a perfect pairing for the Mest MK2/any tribrid according to my working hypothesis that tribrids need low impedance and my only capable device so far is the apple dongle.

I just hope the BT connection is stable and I won’t regret the purchase. I guess worst case I can always return it, which I hopefully don’t have to.

I’m using a the Topping X2s as a simple audio player (also did a review on this forum).
If you want streaming just use your phone with a dongle or bluetooth receiver

I use my phone and an ES100 for everything. It can be distracting though compared to a music player.

I’m not really on the lookout for a dap, just sharing this release.
