It’s their network music streamer DAC thingy not the V6 it was perfect as I already have a Hiby R6 2020
But thank you!

I know, the congratulations and being excited about the V6 were separate. I like their products that I’ve tried and heard of so far is all.

FH7s in fiio’s semi open dragon scale design. Hope it gets better received than the FH5s

New / updated Schiit Lyr+ (Lyr 4)
If You don’t plug in a tube it changes to solid state operation. Guess a switch would have been more convenient… Comes with a step relay volume control + remote. DAC modul is not possible anymore. $660 with a tube.

A powerful single ended amp with a remote. Was hoping for something like this in the past (and probably again in the future) for my living room. Unfortunately a little expensive and hard to get (+extra expensive) for me in Germany.

Zeos is gonna bitch about it being like reviewing 3 IEMs

Should have posted the LZ A7 in the " What do you want me to review" thread, lol. On the other side in 85% of the reviews he barely describes the sound anyway so filters and dip switches shouldn’t really bother him.

I think he tolerates them, though he does still bitch about them. If anything, they’re an excuse to have something to be upset about.

Hahahahaha, we share the same opinion

Guessing it doesn’t have bluetooth/usb bridge functionality? I want something to make me not want the Topping M50

Not sure what that is but let me know what you mean and I will play with it more.

Sorry, I basically mean can it be used to transmit Bluetooth

They needed something in that price gap. Wow, that’s some power. Might be just the thing for a combo of Bifrost > Lyr > DT 880/600.

I will try it today. Need coffee first.

$800 DAC
$660 Amp
for a $150 headphone
I don’t know… I wouldn’t do that.
Lyr doesn’t have balanced input, so Bifrost might be overkill.

Ha, yes. Just one combination I thought interesting since the DT needs power and (it’s said) sounds good with tubes. Got the BF recently. I have Sundara too and better headphones on my horizon. Appreciate the comment tho.

Thanks, it doesn’t look like it does unfortunately, but thought I may as well ask

Yeah the whole problem with the fh5s is that they stuck a ba in the nozzle so you got some really uncoherent sound. Oh look at that, they stuck a ba in the nozzle again…I wonder what’s gonna happen? Lol but in all seriousness I hope they figured out the ba in the nozzle thing.

The problem isn’t that they stuck a BA in the nozzle. The problem is that they underdampened it, they could have put on a higher damping Knowles damper on it.

Talking in broad terms, internationally there are different leanings for tuning. It seems more often than not strident female vocals (5k peaks, high pinna gains) are favored in Asia (SSR and similar releases are hugely popular there), and for those releases other continents complain about shouty vocals that need fixing. Asia’s a big continent though, so there will always be companies as a whole, and alternating releases otherwise, that have peaky upper mids. A BA in the nozzle can be one way to fit that preference.

Certainly not my preference, but FiiO’s going to FiiO. Maybe a pro version with a different cable will cancel it out?
