Rumors and new releases thread

Why not use two of them and give that name Nunchako some meaning :ninja:t2:

But honestly, those edges are the worst design idea ever when it comes to comfort

Maybe they will come out with a nicer case and include it in the price $$

iBasso DX340 — $1699

A lot of marketing material was not posted on the official website, but was posted on iBasso’s Chinese social media accounts. I did my best to translate it, but Google Translate outputs really pixelated photos, so not all texts is legible. Here’s my post with the translated photos:

SeeAudio and Tangzu have released new variants of their popular IEMs: Yume with 2 BAs (with no DD) and Zetian Wu with 2 planar drivers.

Your DP says it all

Appearances can be deceiving. When I first mass this photo I though “Oh, good of Penon to get back into the $50ish segment like the OG Fan”

This is meant to be a flagship, a bloody expensive one.

It’s not that I think it’s ugly, I like it, it just looked like a budget stock finish so the internals could be prioritized while keeping costs low or something.

Xduoo finally using their modular dac system on a desktop unit

I’ve seen a couple of manufacturers try to embrace this modular idea, but they just leave it behind…

iBasso is the only one who actually properly implemented and continued supporting this modular concept.

If xDuoo’s portable cards are compatible with this desktop unit, then that’s great news.

NF Audio’s very expensive IEM with tuning faceplates comes to mind. 3 at launch 1 soon after, never more. NE4 I think it was.

“Yo, got NE more faceplates 4 me?”

Wasn’t Shanling the biggest offender? I know L&P also made an ultra expensive device with the modular system, but I’m not up to date whether they followed up with a sufficient number of modules…

It’s very messed up, and I despise any company whose business model is like this. It says a lot about the company, I’ll leave it at that.

I asked about that told them to model one with my prefred tuning and they said they are still working on it?

The NF ACOUS NE4 was built so very nicely.

IDK I think it might be dead in the water, as it was I wasn’t enamored with any of those 4 tunings.

Killer idea tho.
