I feel you! I couldn’t find a usb cable for the first day
@Michael if you look for it on ur local walmart’s site or local best buy as printer cable you will be able to find it. same thing, and they do have tons of those thankfully
Yeah, that’s my plan. I just couldn’t believe that as many USB cables as I’ve collected over the years, that I apparently don’t have one of those laying around .
Any chance of getting a nicer cable since you have to buy a new USB A-B anyways?
Would depend on how nice. I’m not opposed to spending, say, $30-$40 on one. But $100+? That would be a hard no without me managing to go somewhere and hear the difference first-hand.
How much would I even benefit from more than a standard USB cable? My setup is just PC>BF2>Jot2>Clear Mg.
Schiit themselves sell a reasonable USB-B cable for $20 if you’re not looking for anything too fancy:
Ayyyyyyyeeeeee
I use this with my PC>BF2?Topping A90>FOCAL Clear MG.
Audioquest - Forest USB B-Plug (3.0m) Just a bit under 100 bucks and works great.

It’d depend on your gear and your critical listening. I’d say spend whatever you feel comfortable and proportionate to your setup. You have a 2.5k setup there, so spending 50USD seems trivial enough
Bf1 multibit worth a $300 loss to upgrade to BF2?
(PSA: 2 poop emojis does not reach 10 characters. You really have to give more than two shits)
Decided to go ahead and order an AudioQuest USB cable.
My biggest immediate pickup with the bf2 compared to the asus i had before was in a static noise on a youtube chill sounds video. The old set up sounded like poprocks in space. It was very nice, but comparing to the bf2 that sound was clearly a tape static and you could hear where it looped and where the tape statics background noise went in and out.
There was more than that but that stood out immediately on an a/b.
I have not had any negative issues or problems w/ the Monoprice cables, speaker, USB, or RCA. I CHOOSE to use cables of higher price category on and off but continue to rotate monoprice cables into my system often when i switch and mix things up and have not had any issues to date. Feel confident in purchasing them, they are well built and free from defects, they match one another which is pleasing aesthetic and have good girth and feel to them. Happy Listening, hope this response helps you out a bit.
Twins!
Turned on my Bifrost 2 yesterday and it no longer sends signal to my headphone amp. Instead my Bifrost 2 makes an audible humming noise and the chassis vibrates. I am guessing the transformer is faulty. Anyone had similar issue with their Bifrost 2 DAC?
