I am thinking about returning dt 880 600 back to Amazon.but I want to make sure I understand how headphones work since I am new to good headphones.
I thought while I am playing cod multiplayer while in nuketown for example when I run and every one shooting I hear everyone shooting from very clear.is that correct?
Cod isā¦ letās just say they 9 times out of 10 put a trash sound engine in the game lol but yes you should clearly hear locations and gunfireā¦ 880 is semi open so itās not as 3d as far as spacious sound goes but it still should work very well unless not being properly driven or bad synergy between amp and headphone. It does however, take time to acclimate yourself to the different positions in your imaging.
In terms of nuketown thoughā¦ even something like the 600 series sennheiser does fine there considering how small the field isā¦
what do u think the best heaphone for hear every gun fire clearly ?
amazon accepted my return request and i might send it back,
i can buy ti gen2 but worried thats its my ear since i do not have golden ears
I personally like fully open back but 880 should have had zero issues in codā¦ no change of headphone is going to magically make that better. You may have better results personally from the 990, 1990, or t1.2
if the āaudio / sounds / recordingsā are just bad in some games, like they sometimes are.
There is no point trying to change a ok or good headphone to something else, trying to improve audio in game when itās just badā¦
If you test the headphone to be good at general levels of gaming usage. They are good in any game, bad audio does not make good headphone bad.
Good headphone works with good audio.
Others have tested it and verified it surprisingly can power 600 ohm beyers, however it apparently gets hot as hell so good idea to put it somewhere where large amounts of heat wont cause problemsā¦ itās an amp dac so should work fine. Potentially the cheapest unit to power the 600 ohms
Pretty sure Iām just going to tell you the soundblaster g6. Considering the budget and your wanting to drive 600 ohms not to mention itās only for gaming
Zeos remark about the 880 600 ohm needing a modded speaker amp is false and quite ridiculous. It does need quite a bit of power but he also was trying the headphone connected to an amp that has most of its power behind its balanced port. G6 can run it fine just not āaudiophileā levels of sound qualityā¦ if you need it louder on g6 just to turn up smart volume in software
i was making mistake by connecting dt880 to my av receiver ,today i connect dt880 to my motherboard sound is perfect expect that the win 10 sound at 100%(sound is high but not very high).so the reason to buy dac or g6 its only to get high volume ?
roughly how much % i will see between dt 880 600oh and the above ?
noā¦ and what your seeing there is the 880 not properly powered through your motherboard, you should not have to max out the volume. Almost guaranteed that the sound your hearing from your motherboard there is an inaccurate representation of the headphone as when this happens multiple sound characteristics change especially in the bass. You need an amp. Amps can provide a multitude of different aspects in sound but also allow the headphone to sound as it was designed. In the 880s case if in 600 ohm, it responds heavily to very expensive equipmentā¦ while not necessary it is something to keep in mindā¦ the g6 will not provide anywhere close to the maximum capabilities of the 600 ohm beyersā¦ it will simply power them but provide a sound from them at what could be attributed as some of the lowest grade powered sound out of them. taking it a step up such as a liquid spark, magni, etc will provide better resultsā¦ asgard or rnhp will gain even better resultsā¦ I do not recommend going any further than that for someone with one headphone thoughā¦ if itās primarily for gaming I wouldnāt recommend a gamer to go above the $200 pricepoint on an amp so the asgard 3 would be the potential maximum less one was an audiophile wanting much more sound quality out of his music and casual gaming.
it depends on what you are looking for. 880 is a detail monster with the more balanced signature out of those. 990 has better soundstage as itās fully open back and itās imaging is better and more noticeable with more air to itās sound due to itās natural design change however, it is a V shaped tuning and a very sharp one at thatā¦ this poses a challenge to those who are treble intolerant as it can be very uncomfortable and sibilant on the SSS sounds from vocals or any form of alternative sound, bullet whizzes count too here, at the same time it also has a touch too much in the bass for competitiveā¦ while not a big deal breaker it is something to take note ofā¦ despite all of this the 990 I can say wins in strictly competitive gaming due to the extras provided.
1990 is the step above those two. It is a mix of both 880 and 990 together as it comes with two sets of pads Analytical and Balanced. A pads are similar to the 880 but the 880 still has the better mids imo and the bass is a bit more on the 880s when at 600 ohmsā¦ 1990 is more neutral and has quite a bit more peak to itās trebleā¦ at the same time it is fully open back with better soundstage and imaging and very analytical as it can tear apart soundtracks or sound and pick out any flaw as it was designed to doā¦ B pads just emphasize the bass. The good thing about the 1990 though is itās built even more like a tank and it also can change itās sound to a very large variety of sounds without ruining the sound through simple pad swaps and a dampener insert.
T1.2 is what I use personally and is more in line with the next step from the 880s. Fully open back, curved drivers, biggest soundstage of the beyers, still ridiculously accurate imaging, very light clamp force, due to curved drivers your ears kind of float inside the pads though it can pose some discomfort to some who arenāt use to it under the ear. This headphone also responds just as well to pad swaps, but a dampener is pretty much not happening due to itās curved driver designā¦ there is a filter made for the T1 but itās from the 3rd gen which beyer isnāt selling yet to my knowledge. T1.2 is 600 ohms while 1990 is 250 ohmsā¦ as such T1.2 is the other headphone with that ridiculous level of scaling and synergizing to amps and dacs and even itās own cabling. The signature of the T1.2 is a bit strangeā¦ itās very similar to the 880 but taken a bit step further. bass is inbetween the two pads of the 1990 frequency response, mids have tones of warmth and are pushed up slightly like in the 880 600 ohm, but the brightness is brighter than the 1990 however very smooth. Bass in comparison to the 1990 is rounded while the 1990 has a more planar like slam effect to it. while most of the beyers including 880 and 1990 are quite aggressive the T1.2 is much more relaxed and not so analytical
Something to keep in mind, game engines will only go so farā¦ competitive has limitations and I do believe they do this on purpose otherwise people like audiophiles with large soundstages would have a clear advantageous position. Games like cod do not need headphones like 990 or T1.2 or any of thatā¦ they can easily just use something like 58x jubilee or hell even sennheiserās 600 series headphones with the narrow soundstage and be just fine. I use my T1.2 because I enjoy it both in gaming and my musicā¦ it maxes out practically any competitive gaming I do at the same time I can play casually with it if I wanted to with something as simple as a pad swap
Nope, I donāt bother any form of streaming and never have. I leave that to the others I tag along with. My name here and alternatives are all just placeholders so I am not bothered when I am kicking back, my discord, streams, etc are all private and will not be given out
I see no reason to youtube audiophile equipment either, leave that to people more involved in the hobby and a better vocabulary for the audiophile terminologies.
i tried to order asgard3 but the do not ship to saudi arabia ,i found this near from me,or should i order asgared 3 (i will find a way but it will cost more)
i think this only amplifier thats mean dac too?lol
