Sounds like a handy tool for headphones getting out that last bit.

Just thought maybe someone has the same experience. So while I dont have a dedicated dac im using my onboard as the dac to my LS. Need a bit more volume than usual can be due to the onbaord not pushing the full 2v. Nevertheless I found on the Aiva that the LS sounds better on high gain 11 o’clock than low gain 1-2 pm.

Just found this on the Musictek website:

One thing i foundmost interesting is how they ran a frequency comparison on 2 different sets of P2’s and both responses came out different. What are they trying to say with this? that their qc isnt consistant?

There’s always going to be manufacturing variations, they are showing 2 pairs to give some idea of what differences are significant.

the differences seem big lol

Yes, it’s why all these measurements need to be taken with a big grain of salt.
On most headphone measurement rigs you see variation like that from just reseating the headphones and remeasuring.
And anything but the most expensive rigs are inaccurate over 3-4KHz.

Hey guys, opinions on if the aivas are the best deal for this driver? currently 479 on drop. I know there are a ton of clones, many of which sound close or similar but in the little research i’ve done into them it seems like they either require a lot of modding or have qc issues, or both (looking at you monoprice). Any input would be most appreciated

Given the aivas are the ones least affected seemingly by QC bs that seems to be a decent price and a good deal if you like or are interested in the driver type and if you don’t like it you can probably resell it for a similar price

thanks for the input, that is what i’m gathering as well based on the feedback i’ve seen on the clones

yeah thier the best of the bunch. youre paying 50$ more from the blon ones and 75 bucks more from the Sivga P2. but you are getting the best sounding. and best built. they used to be 600$

thanks for the input. Certainly what i was suspecting was curious if others felt the same.

yeah zeos has also confirmed this

Personally I’m loving my Blon B20’s. They supposedly come out of the box how you want them minus an XLR cable.

To be clear, in the video for the Sivga P-II, Z stated that it makes no sense to buy the Aiva when the P-II cost $200 less. The build is almost exactly the same but the clamp. But if someone wants to spend $200 for some damn clamp, I wont stop them, lol.

Actually i asked him on patreon about it and he said he couldnt hear a difference but other people could. he sounded uncertain. and the Aiva is on sale now for 475$ on drop

There’s no difference, I’ve heard both myself. Any differences people think they are hearing is manufacturer variance or placebo.

Not even differences due to pad differences?

Also general question, why not just get Sundara’s? Legit asking because I think that’s the last planar I would add to my collection.
