Hi Wise, are you revering to a higher amperage DC cable feeding the jds labs atom?
I recently purchased a floormodel pair with perforated pads as my first proper set of headphones (jumped on the hype train). Before this I was using Tin T2 and sony wh1000xm3. Loving the Sendys so far with my fiio Q5s. Mind you I donāt have any other headphones to compare to but I love the detail in my music I hear with these. Really enjoying them.
Not expecting much, but I went ahead and purchased the new pads for the Aiva. The Aivas have been sitting on my shelf getting no play for months. They still arenāt my favorite cans but Iāll admit that the new pads improve them considerably. Iām glad I didnāt sell them.
Curious what has been your headphones of choice outside the of the Aivas.
Lately, Iāve been enjoying the TR-X00 Ebonys. Iāve been enjoying their frequency range and dynamic impact so much that I bought a bunch of them and have been modding them. Now my TR-X00 Lawton modded headphones have become my favorite headphones to listen to for their enjoyable frequency response. Out of all my headphones though, the Aiva have been at the bottom of my personal list before this pad change. After the pad swap, theyāll be getting more play time again Iām happy to report.
Here are a few pics of some of my headphones if anyone is interestedā¦
Damn you for having so much lol. I have one HP and trying to find a headphone stand now. And boom there you go posting 5 of the stands i want lol. Awesome collection bud
lol. You should see my guitar collection.
What amps are you guys using with your aivas?
I use the monoprice 788 AAA Thx desktop and a Fiio Q5s with the Am3e module with mine.
Do any of you guys eq the sendi aivas? If you do please post some settings. I did a small eq to bump the mids and sub bass.
Has anyone tried Sendy pads on the Blons? Z talked about using Blonās pads on the Sendy to widen them, so I wonder how close you can get the B20 to the intimacy and detail of the Aiva.
Got the Aiva out and have a few hrs of listening time so far - I am impressed!!
For the price they are really delivering and are way more clear and detailed than I thought and the bass is not as light as presumed. My current daily driver is a dt1990, so as far as high treble and lack of bass I am already there, so the Aiva sounds way different.
I use the Aiva XLR conector for the balanced output and it is working just fine. Canāt tell it apart from the SE, but the ground noise is very low with the Monolith dac/amp so it is just the volume that differ.
It is very comfortable to wear and the build quality is very very nice.(And no crinkle noise and there is a L and a R, not 2xL) Only remark so far is the head strap; I have a medium to large sized head, but I have it almost in the lowest position, in order for it not to be too lose. I hope it doesnt get more lose over time.
$475 is an absolute steal and they perform better than expected. I am really looking forward to more milleage with these
Where did you get the matching XLR adapter? I have one as wellā¦ but the coloration is slightly different on mine.
From MusicTeck at a hefty $75:
ohā¦ nvm. Now that I look closely, you have the slightly off coloration also. Lolā¦ Liket he copper is dark/light combinationā¦ as opposed to the same tone on the main headphone cable.
That is the same one I have.
Yeah, I can see it as well. I can live with that, i donāt like it, but thatās life.
Yeahā¦ was not a big deal to me either, I still think it looks pretty niceā¦ but when I saw yours just thought you had somehow found one that matches. haha
20 character limit
I thought it looked really good too but at $75 thatās like twice of what they go for from other sellers. I got Hart Audio to custom build one 4.4 to XLR cable and it only came up to $25. Just couldnāt justify the cost for the aesthetic.
I ended up getting theirās because I just really wanted it to match. The Aivas look so nice in person. But in general yeahā¦ that adapter is stupidly overpriced. lol
