It’s OK, we’ll just convince everyone to start using tube amps, that’ll heat the place up.
I love that computer case. Very slick.
Damn that SMSL S8 stack looks amazing
Thanks. It’s a NZXT H440 if your interested
My queation is just… how can it be that good for all cans it its not that powerfull? How does it play with planars?
I actually use some higher end planars on mine and it works great, although with super power hungry ones it’s not the best. That thing just works great tho lol
What are the speakers?
Edifier R1600T III
I think the RNHP would be good with most headphones. like 98% But my Sp200 sounds so good lol. its hard to see how it would be better. Ive been looking at the cayin iha-6. You can pick one up for 650$ maybe less used. It has plenty of power. And its fully balanced. But i hear the balanced port is better than the single ended ports and i dont have balanced cables for all my headphones. It will be a pain and expense to equip every headphone i get with a balanced connection. not sure if that would even damage some of my headphones. I also heard it has some hiss. Zeos says its only as good as a THX amp too. But i dont fully trust his opinon when it comes to amps.
You would just have to check if your headphones would support balanced. I think all the headphones you currently own would support balanced (besides the 95x)
It is sensitive to power quality, but otherwise it has pretty much no hiss with what I throw at it with normal listening levels. With some iems if you have them at ear destroying levels there may be some hiss lol
What do you think of its single ended ports?
As in it’s inputs or single ended output? And this is about the rnhp correct? I generally stick with the balanced inputs and have a 2ndary for the rca. The 3.5mm port actually has a ton of extra gain on it by design (as the different inputs on the rnhp have different gain levels)
No i was talking about the Cayin single ended output ports lol
My bad lol, was getting confused. They are pretty solid, pretty nice. I think to take full advantage you would want to go balanced but I would have no issues only using the single ended ports tbh. Also I like how there are output for high/low impedance so you can plug in what suits your headphones more
Just got them today but i’ve been looking to find something that satisfies me and gets me to not spend anywhere near as much time looking for something better and watching youtube reviews and stalking reddit\headfi for good deals and this it is. Glad to be free of the audiophile bug and i’m sticking to my guts of not buying anything new lol
Q100’s?
Very nice office setup!
Yeah Q100 bought at fire sale pricing when the Q150s came out. $249. They’ve worked out well. Too bright at ear level though had to fiddle with the height and angle quite a bit before they sounded their best.
I love the view as well!
