Iām curious too. Iām getting an Atom soon and wondering if itās easy to hear the difference between āneutralā amps and AAA stuff.
I canāt tell the difference between the Atom and my MASSdrop THX 789 (emphasis mine), except for the extra power in balanced.

The DX& Pro and Monolith THX stack nicely together. My Massdrop/'D70 donāt stack quite as well.

They are the Kennerton Vali (revised). The cups are āStablized Mapleā wood. They are dark blue in spots and then light brown in others. They look nice in person.

They are the new version of the Kennerton Vali. I never tried the original, but these have a different headband and a slightly different sound (less bass, more soundstage & detail).
Really appreciate it. I was nervous buying them with no reviews to back them up, but it worked out. I love 'em.

Iāve worked with stabilized woods before. Itās a process where a hunk of wood is placed in a vacuum chamber with a colored resin. The resin insinuates itself in all the pores, nooks and crannies of the wood, giving it strength (ie stability) and making the grain stand out in whatever color the resin is. Itās tough stuff, easy to work with and can be very beautiful.
It gives the wood a color, depth and complexity can be very striking but doesnāt show up in pics well. Kyle, I bet theyāre even more attractive in person

Yeah. Iām really happy how they turned out. More subtle than I expected, but the cup quality and the way the the brown color matches the headband and then flows into this dark blue wood is really nice. I usually struggle with a lot of buyerās remorse, but have been pleasantly surprised how satisfied Iāve been with the look and sound.

When did you place your order, and how long until you received them? I have the blackwood Aeolus coming, and I keep checking his status spreadsheet every day. Iām still on āAssemblyā
I purchased it from someone here (wonāt mention the name for sake of privacy, but they can chime in if they want), who had only used it for about 2 hours or so, so I wouldnāt even consider them used. Had them since Monday. Came with the suede universe perforated pads on them, verite pads, stock xlr cable, and an upgraded ofc 1/4 cable (what Iām using).
Nice. Iām really looking forward to them. I havenāt even gotten them yet and I find myself eyeing the Verites already (edit: and the Atticus, Eikon, Auteurs, and Verite Closed)
