Is the Monarch mkii a real upgrade coming from the ej07m, like the ej07m itself was a upgrade from the Tea?

Also considering the fact that the higher you push, the less you get when it comes to Ć”udioā€¦

Can anyone speak to whether the resin version of the EJ07m has a longer nozzle and/or better fit than the standard shell?

Edit:

I can try to take a comparative shot/measurement for you later, if any of these would be a good reference for you:
Shuoer S12
UM MEST Mk II
Thieaudio Excalibur
Campfire audio Nova (nozzle/shell is the same as older Andromeda units)
Otherwise, I can just bust out a ruler, too.

I donā€™t have any of those, but I think the S12 was said to have a shorter nozzle. That would be awesome, thank you!

How are you enjoying the resin EJ07m? Is it comfy? Does it sound as the stock u it is described?

The S12 nozzle is much shorter, and the curve of the EJ07M (resin) shell leading up to the nozzle is more pronounced, which also helps with insertion angle. While the EJ07M (resin) doesnā€™t have a traditional ā€œlipā€, it is flared and a bit more ovular than circular (see third pic, sorry about the bad lighting, Iā€™m stuck in the office). While I think that this helps with tip retention, it has no negative impact with comfort for me. I havenā€™t done a ton of tip rolling with the EJ07M (resin) because I love the stock soft rubber tips, just as I did with the EJ07 OG. I have zero complaints with comfort regarding the EJ07M (resin), as while it is a thick and medium-large shell, the spout and angle make it super-easy to seat well in the canal, and the smooth shape makes it comfy on the Concha/surface of the ear.
Regarding the sound, I love it. Sub-bass is taught but powerful, mid-bass is neutral but textured. Mids are clean and neither over-or-under-emphasized, male or female. Treble is on the relaxed side, but present and clean. People say that it isnā€™t as immersive as the OG EJ07, and itā€™s been so long that I canā€™t remember the difference, but soundstage is wide and deep and imaging is spot-on precise Iā€™m not sure if Iā€™m going to go in on the ā€œKinda Lavaā€ version or not (I do enjoy some meaty midbass), but even if I do, Iā€™ll still be holding on to these. I put them in my top 2 IEMs Iā€™ve had alongside my MEST mkII, but they both do completely different things that make them special.

Very nice customized version. I guess it is much more convenient than OG. It was very difficult for me to find the right tips, because the OG nozzle is short, but now everything is OK. In time, I will order a custom version of 07m, because IEMs are amazing. Lava has a different tuning and I think it will sacrifice a little of the midrange! :dizzy:

Fantastic Sonofholhorse! Thank you for the thoughtful descriptions. These definitely have my interest and are on my short list for next purchase.

I ordered a set from Linsoul as part of the CNY sale. Having to wait for them to process the order until after they come back to work is painful lol. This will be my first mid-high end IEM purchase (whatever you want to call it), coming from the Mangird Tea. All the positivity around this set lured me into diving further into the rabbit hole even though I was satisfied with the Tea. Looking forward to hearing what Iā€™ve been missing out on.

I too couldnā€™t resist the temptation ordered 07M should be with me tomorrow (Amazon U.K. store) - canā€™t agree more that EJs are endgame

Congratulations! The tuning of EJ07m is the final game, technically they are close to the end of the game!

Anyone have experience with the Thieaudio Legacy 4 to compare with the EJ07m? Already have the legacy and considering buying the Shuoer. The graphs are very similar. Just wondering if itā€™s gonna be a worthy upgrade.

Although I havenā€™t had my Legacy 4 for quite some time (sold it when it was seeing less use in my rotation and before I had the EJ07m but while I did have the EJ07 OG) I can tell you, even from memory, that the EJ07m outclasses it in staging/imaging/dynamics. Tuning is going to be a matter of taste, but for me personally, I think I would take the EJ07m there, too.

Which one would you say has better 3D imaging and staging between the 07M and OG 07?

I never had the EJO7m and OG at the same time, and itā€™s too close for me to call from memory.

What tips are u using for the ej07m . If i buy them This short nozzle will be a big problem for me . Hope tea mk2 will have a great mids like ej07m . Canā€™t wait to read ur comparison .
I just want a iem with great emotional vocals i want them to be a bit thick detailed with forward to balanced presentation and without any sibilance cz i listen to music loudly and im sick cz of sibilance . And a bit of sub bass boost to sound full
Max budget is 600$

I guess Tea2 will be more comfortable. I also guess that I will send them back to China soon to make me a personalized version, which I had to order from the very beginning ā€¦
