I wouldnāt call the soundstage as anything out of the ordinary, certainly not beating any of my headphones aside from maybe the t60rp. It has really good imaging though, Iāll give it that.
The venting does nothing for soundstage at all, not to me anyway. Itās just there to allow the dynamic driver and air to move properly without causing unecessary pressure on the ear. The second screw is a dead-plug, itās just a cut-out to fit the screw itself. The first screw is the only one that opens up into the IEM shell.
I guess youād have to close off the mesh vent, and add a pinhole vent not on the back side,to test that. To me, Iād imagine the mesh vent has the same effect as adding some amount of cup holes/opening on a headphone, on an equally effective but smaller size/scale. Not sure comparing IEM stage to headphones is fair, but why not. I do think L3 also has a pretty nice, big stage at this price, but I definitely prefer the TP in-game.

Iād be perfectly happy with these(for gaming) if:
A) the 3.5mm adapter screwed on
B) those sharp rear edges were gone
Only one of the STP conduits (their choice of terminology) is ported; the other one is a blank, to hold the unused tuning screw
According to what iāve read, the tape pro seems quite source dependent. electro modās youtube video shows that they become really good with the tubes in the cayin n3 pro. for me, using azla sednaearfit xelastic tips, qudelix 5k on 4 volts and a few days of burn in, these really opened up and mids became more clear and were more forward. shoutiness i experienced a little, but once i upped the 500hz-1000hz by 2db with the qudelix app eq, they became less shouty and had a really fun sound signature. i never believed in burn in, but now i realize that some drivers will require burn in, such as planars or in this case, electrostatics. All in all, i am very satisfied with this set and do not regret buying it after some time.
note, fit is meant to be shallow, not deep. This way, there wonāt be any of the sharp edges on your ears. really excited to know how these sound after i use them with a tube amp.

well got my proās finally, first impression after 1 hr or so through tidal and E30+L30,
Do hear the potential, after switching the screws the bass improved but they are hollow and sometimes shouty and too laid back on vocals, hope that after some burning in they will improve , compare to my blon-03 , the blons are much much better, for now .
BTW, nice case and cable , but they are not the most comfortable in my ears .
if the hollowness will go away and vocals be more forward i think they will be really good set, cause i can hear the potential in them .
if anyone can confirm that after a good burning in, it does happen. please let me know 
*update - so after 15hr of burning in the vocals came more forward and now it less hollow, much much better must say, i really think that around 40+ hr of burning in the hollowness will be gone or minimized and they are good to go , for me

Yea ive had my Tape Pros for a bit now, and I donāt even use them anymore.
The reason: they hurt my ears, a lot. The metal digs into the back of the ear.
Mind you, this is probably an earshape thing, its probably alright for others.
As stated above, getting Xelastecs on is a challenge, but not impossible.
Sound wise tho, i really really like them. Shame i canāt use them cuz of comfort issues.
