SIMGOT Un-Official EA500 CULT THREAD

Just realised I forgot to include the QKZxHBB for my EDM days!

EA500 have a better driver and it is pretty obvious to the ear.
I appreciate the trust with Olina and hope you liked em.
The goal was that driver from a $280-$300 set in a $99 shell.
Glad folks like it.
But I’m not stupid and my ears are great. Ea500 is clearly better. (Pun intended)

I wanna thank all the peeps recommending this! Been using these the past few days and comparing to my much more expensive sets. Super sick pair of IEMs! I was worried the bass-regions would be kind of mediocre for my taste, but unless I want to really indulge in window-rattling techno or jungle/dnb, these do the job splendidly. After watching a documentary on Prodigy the other day, I went back and listened to some of the stuff I grew up to, and something like Breathe sounds spectacular on these!

These truly are insane for the price. They can get a touch bright for my liking at times, but that is really me trying to find something to fault. Nozzle angle was also a bit uncomfortable at first, but somehow alleviated after some time? I will note I did the bandaid mod, which at least to my ear, improved the bass a bit (as in upped it a notch).

Thanks again, you guys rock :v:

KA3 or DC03 Pro for the Simgot EA500? Both dongles warmed up and played music for a while as they sound harsh and thin when cold. Swapped back and forth for about 1h. This was tune dependent for me. But on some songs I think the layering and separation was slightly better on the KA3. But the difference was 1-5% to my ears. DC03 Pro has a slightly less fatiguing, more natural sound, might be better for long term listening. DC03 Pro has way more volume steps due to HW volume buttons. KA3 was occasionally too loud/silent with no volume step in between. I did not limit volume on KA3 in the Fiio app, which would have helped with the volume range. Tested only on 3.5mm output with the OG Simgot SPC cable. Maybe the difference would have been bigger from the KA3:s 4.4mm balanced out. IMHO both are good sounding with the EA500.

Song playing is

I must say, the hype that the SIMGOT EA500s are receiving is justified.

If you like shimmery cymbals, these are your babies. If you like a wide soundstage, these are your babies. If you like extended treble that feels like a sparkly glitter bomb went off in your ears but with the right amount of midbass to round out that upper treble detail without intruding upon it, then these are your babies.

They are far from perfect, but they are perfect for the price.

Been listening to these thoroughly for the past week at work. Just need more sub bass and they’ll be perfect for my library. I wonder how they’ll compete with the Blon Z300

It has been weeks now fellas and I have to say, my EA500 remains on top. I just cannot stop wearing these in my ears along with my Heydays, it’s just been a miracle that I had discovered these IEMs within a budget that is reasonable for most people to have. Now, I just think it has gotten even better for I think I have broken these in, and I just hope the magic that I feel from these remain for a long time, for there are some tracks with it being used, still surprises me, like “What the hell, I didn’t know there were these sounds from this track!”

This might be an endgame to some now, but that’s just me exaggerating it.

No, you’re not exaggerating it.

We are the very small minority that wants to spend a lot of money on audio gear.

If I was starting over fresh and knew all the stuff I knew now, I’d like to think I’d buy EA500 and the Pandas, with one beater set, and be done with the whole thing.

Edit for me…

But I guess that scenario is different for everyone…some may even say it’s all about the journey and not the destination :man_shrugging:

I haven’t heard anything lately from BLON, I hope they are making a comeback somehow with that one at least.

I totally get that, I almost think if I had started with the QKZxHBB and Truthear Hola, I might have walked away happy.

I don’t listen to the Pandas as much as I should, and that is partly because of the EA500. I got them within a week of each other.

EA500 for home use Heyday for gym use :muscle:

Coincidentally, I also use the Heydays when I am working out as well along with my Shanling UP4 BT DAC, don’t have a gym membership though for I prefer working out at home, plus I don’t want to freaking film myself, for I’d rather focus on the grind and the sets I am about to do. Also, I am seeing a lot of people that are, let’s say a bit off in the gym that discourages me going in there.

Calisthenics and endurance training is doing me well at home though, especially with the IEMs that I have, makes it more intense.
