Your suggestion of a K5 Pro was appreciated. I took that name and went into research mode. Turns out it wasn’t for me, but I appreciated the suggestion.

You did very well. I ended buying from them via AliExpress and paid $249.00.
It is a great amp, but it really took some getting used to for me.
I must have gotten one heck of a deal on the SP200, then. I paid the equivalent of 240 USD by stacking multiple discount coupons on 11.11.

Nope, no defect. Starting price was around 280 USD. I got two promotional coupons (one from Lazada, one from the seller itself) that brought the price down by right around 50 USD.
That’s some real extreme couponing for how popular that amp was lol

When I bought mine Shenzhen Audio had it on for $252.11, but their site ran out. I was referred to their site on AliExpress which had the same price. But it also had coupon buttons to push for like a dollar off. I kept pushing it and ended up at $249.00.
Combined with their paperwork favour, it made this little THX amp a very good deal.
Of course $240.00 is much more impressive. It seems to really pay to shop around with Chinese products. They are not nearly as strict on enforcing any kind of MSRP’s. The SU-8 goes on sale like every third week.

I’m soo getting that amp as soon as I get the cash for it. Then Extreme coupon collection will need time as everyday I see the SMSL SP 8 increasing in price 
In case anyone was wondering… I’ve observed Sp200 gets warm enough to attract a cat to use it as a personal heat box apparently…

My Sp200 arrived yesterday. So far I’m pretty impressed. I’m also impressed at just how good the cheaper Archel 2, Magni 3 and liquid spark are comparatively.

I am using mine today with my Grado’s. I didn’t like this combo at first, but it sounds really good today. A couple of songs sounded a little bright, but for the most part, pretty good overall.
It does no headphones or music any favours.

Finally received my SU-8 to go along with the 888.
Massive upgrade from my Jotunheim with the integrated multibit DAC. Hearing things I’ve never heard before in songs I’ve listened to 100’s of times on my Aeolus.
