My favorite sound track, is any movie John Williams scored. He uses the entire orchestral frequency spectrum. I noticed other composers only seem to use the lower half for some reason.
Having just caved into streaming Spotify this past weekend, I found a list of classical movie scores, with 64 pieces on it. All of the greats you know of are on that list. I posted a link to it in All Things Classical already.
