NF NA2 + is a technical beast, well above O2. The bass is much more agile and the mids are more dynamic and dense. Male vocals are far away (they wonât like @nymz ). There is a small rise in 4K, which can be fixed to some extent with EQ. Just to say that the soundstage is many times better than FH7 (169 against 470 dollars)!!! Think
Yup Iâve heard many great sounding iems with astounding resolution but I feel not many get the mids tuning right for my tastes. Like you said âthe male vocals sound far awayâ and this is my problem with a lot of chifi iems. Not saying everything sounds recessed but not many single ddâs have vocals presence like the oxygen and the especially the Katoâs.
Ahahah, uâre my soulmate, I guess. Anything that canât play male vocals, kick drums or bass guitars and also female vocals, is too thin or has zero stage = dead.
Do you guys think that the Oxygen O2 is different enough from the FD5 to justify itÂŽs purchase? They do not graph so differently.
I know that @Rikudou_Goku put both on S tier.
They are both drastically different. Not redundant at all (except both being single DD).
Thanks @nymz and @Rikudou_Goku, the Oxygen O2 was on my Wishlist for quite a while and I think it will make part of my top single DDs IEMs. (Together with the FD5)
I am pretty sure I am officially a member of the oxygen fan club now.
Surprisingly, this is the first IEM that has really worked with the epro tips for me.
They are winning billie eilish. Not quite on the level of the hp-2. But a fantastic IEM execution. This makes me happy.
That is all.
So happy to hear that @DynamicâŠ
My set arrives todayâŠ
EDIT: Have just been told itâs delayed till tomorrowâŠ
I think the O2 is my favorite IEM overall right now. With just a tiny bit of EQ, I like them over the Dunu Zen, SA6, Starfields, P1, and 7HZ. They donât have the best detail of IEMs in the 200USD range but they do everything else so well. My only real compliant is that the two pin connector needs to be more recessed. The O2 sometimes just falls off my cables.
This. If I want that detail, that is what the zen or timeless are for. If the zen tuning was closer to the oxygen, it wouldnât be close. But itâs not.
Really quite good. Going to compare it more extensively over the next week. But it stands on its own quite well.
The oxygen are really small and light. This creates a situation where they donât feel very firmly in place. And stiffer tips really can push them out. Even the grippy tips like cp100 plus and crystal donât really help grip the same way. While they are extremely comfortable, I have found getting a firm insertion that doesnât feel loose is hard. The seal is fine but it feels like they are constantly in danger of falling out.
The longest and grippiest eartips I have are reversed KZ starlines. Do you have those by any chance?
I personally donât have any issues at all with CP100âsâŠ
The IEMs are really light as Dynamic mentioned and to me they donât feel like theyâre falling out.
Might also have to do with the cable Iâm using? It holds them quite well in place.
YMMV of courseâŠ
EDIT: I just realized itâs CP145âs (M) Iâm using!
I use the AZLA SednaEarfitLight for tips. I do not have issues with them falling out of my ear.
Nope. Donât know what those are.
They donât actually fall out. Or they havenât yet anyway.
But they donât have that âinserted properlyâ feeling ever either. Itâs like they are hovering in my ears.
Itâs really comfortable but also awkward because no other IEM fits like this for me. Itâs like they are not there.
Maybe they are the only IEM that really fits me well? ;p
KZ Starline are tips that come with some KZ iems. There is a mod to reverse them. They become super soft and grippy a little bit like CP100 but wider bore and are very comfortable
The flip tip.
You can do that with a lot of narrow bore tips to create a wide bore tip.
I have flipped tips before. Canât remember which but it was early days with the dunu zen. (might have been a stock tip for them)
The oxygen are just weird because they work with cp100+ SS (just got them) all the way up to XL and still have that floaty feeling.
Anyway, itâs just odd. Just about every tip works. Maybe I am not used to IEMs actually fitting in my ears.
