Yes. I only used the driver side (vinyl strips) as I did not find the cup side foam in the cups) to do anything I liked or was looking for.
Well⌠Bass boosted youtube songs on the purplehearts definitely has a certain âtwo 12â inches in the back of my MK1 golf youth days" vibe to itâŚ
Sounds like itâs working properly lol
Yeah 100%! Lol
Listening to normal music definitely doesnât wow me or anything. But fills the gap I was looking for in my collection.
With MDR Z7s on the way, I think itâs just the 95x that I still need to get then thatâs me for the sub 1k range I think.
Maybe the pandaâs if they donât turn out to be a flop.
Looks fantastic! Really gorgeous pairing.
Me too, but Iâm biased.
Why not both?
Even better.
I will say that even though ZMF make very nice looking headphones (and to many, sound better than a Lawton mod), I think the Lawton woods look better. They just have a more refined look to them.
Seem to have more exotic looking cups
I like my Verite in silk but Iâd buy another if they were ebony or something similar
I think the main priority for Mark Lawton in his wood selections is tonality. I donât think he offers many woods that arenât considered âtone woodsâ, woods that are classically used for instruments.
Thatâs one of the main things that drew me to purchase Lawton Chambers (cups) to mod.
That, and theyâre just gorgeous looking.
I enjoy the look of the Lawtons more than the Aeolus but the Aeolus fits better (tighter fit) and I prefer how well built the ZMF is compared to the Fostex.
I actually go back and forth on what I prefer for sound all the time. I like both for different reasons. I love the Aeolus for more relaxed music. I prefer the Lawton/Fostex for metal and movie scores, heavier hitting stuff.
Thatâs really is the best way to go about things; variety.
It also helps you be more objective in your listening.
Yeah. Either way, they are all fantastic headphones. Variety is the spice of life.
I finally found a pair of ebony tr-x00 to go with my zmf. May have to get a similar stand. Like how it holds two or it can hold the cable.
Congrats on the Tr-X00! I have a crap load of headphone stands and I can say the Salire is REALLY nice for clamping style headphones. My Aeolus ear pads actually started collapsing sitting on some of my other stands that stretch the cups out and put constant force on the pads. The Salire wont work for headphones like Focal though.
Thank you! Got lucky and got em $400. I have a woo audio stand and like it but Iâm gonna pick up a couple other stands because Iâm running outta room. Wanna build a shelf next to my desk and have my nicer hp on display.
