Shit I’m seeing mahogany going for $500 sometimes on eBay so $400 for ebony is a good deal imo. Nice guy on here sold them to me.

@PapaEmeritus told me about the accessory house pads.
Can I use the attenuation ring with the accessory house pads and still have a close to stock sound?
They also came with a set of dekoni pads and a balanced cable. I probably won’t use either. If I like them I’ll get a hart cable.
I don’t recommend those pads. Those are the ZMF Aeolus pads. The non-perf are much better suited to the X00. Just my 2 cents.

This is all personal opinion and it boils down to how sensitive you are to treble. The non-perf accessory house pads will increase the sound stage but will probably increase the treble. The Lawton mod smooths that treble out. It can’t hurt to get some attenuation rings and a few different pads and customize the TR-X00 to your tastes tho. Happy modding!

Yes, the sound signature changes with the lawton cups. They are about twice the size of the stock cups. Depending on the wood you choose, you can select a wood that compliments your preferences.

Yes. All the drivers in all the TR-X00 headphones are the same. The different wood cups are the only difference.

No no the Stage from the Cups i mean in his towel.
The Mahagony are not so good in Bass as the Ph or Ebony.Better in mid,and the highs are sometime too much.
When you find a Denon Ah d2000 is the same from the Driver.
Same People say it is the best Phone in Bass and middle as the Fostex.
But People say many things.
