I mean, this is pretty much endgame for me. And they’re $500 off.
Welp, I bought them. Ordered. Truly could not resist that, thanks for posting it. Also I hate you. <3
Wonder if they’ll do Walnut next…
I’ve always been sort of a wh*re for cocobolo.
“S’all good”
Dayum that bad huh haha
What do they sound like? what is it about them you like?
i mean, i think my expectations may have been to high, i dunnu. they were not the worst i suppose. but they felt like 2 planks with pads on the side of your head. had a wonky all over the place tuning. mostly bass anemic, though for some reason a lot of people thought they were bass heavy in the initial reviews. QC issues. one headphone was mounted 1/4 inch higher on the driver housing then the other. if i had to guess, it was 2 left or right cups used as L&R with one driver installed backwards. id like to think human error and not that their machines are that far off. if its the machinery…then hifiman has even bigger issues.
edit: i also got in on the early bird pre-launch batch. QC maybe fixed now, dunnu.
@Antpage2, I notice you post on this thread daily. Which is nice when there’s a good deal, but I was also wondering if you received any sort of compensation for posting these “DEALS”. Do you profit from these posts via cash payments, credit vouchers, or points?
I post a lot, and get compensated in joy of helping my fellow human. In case I am next up
Haha. That’s my reasoning as well whenever I‘ve posted anything that I‘ve seen for sale that may be of interest.
I personally resist from posting here unless there is at least 30% off and also well sought out. Example, RNHP for $349. Forum member bought it within 10 minutes
Never heard of them and was looking for the regular price, currently on Amazon new for 350$ and Adaroma for 299 as B-stock.
Are you sure you’re not looking at the closed backed version?
nvm i see it. for the longest time you couldnt find them anywhere
No i dont get any compensation from anyone
yeah you could find the closed back on sale but not the open back. for some reason i guess they are available now
My Amazon link appended a HiFiGuides tag, hopefully that means the forums are benefiting from affiliate links from the deals we post, for some vendors at least, to offset the website costs.
Yup I noticed that too. So no one can use their own affiliate link here (probably).
I should clarify, “my amazon link” was just meaning the one I had posted previously, I’m not an affiliate so not sure if that would change if someone was. Realize now my post could be interpreted either way lol
