i would tape the dragonfly and thx amp together. not that i would use any of it as i don’t really listen to music anywhere but the house. and i got a couple BT options, more then good enough for my rare need or want.

but i agree in the dongle hell lol

Isn’t that a victory though? :stuck_out_tongue:

JBLs Studio 5 series speakers are back on sale!

If you’re in Japan, use Pay Pay Mall to order from E Earphones. The DX160 ver. 2020 is ¥40,000 and you get 20%(¥8,000) in points you can use to buy in any online store, or convert back to cash.

So, the points come in one month after purchase, but in the end it’s the same as paying ¥32,000.

You can also purchase from Kojima, Yodabashi Camera, Sofmap, etc.

Sighs I have so many things I wanna say…

Just picked up my Hifiman Edition X V2’s from this guy. Met him in person. Great dude. Would highly recommend someone take him up on the LCD-Xs ($850, pretty much as new excepting some pad wear). I think these count as a deal?

I’ll just share this here. Apparently “Google Music” will disappear? But when I press play to hear “a few seconds” of a song… I hear the entire song instead.

Maybe it’s a bug, maybe it’s a gift, but I don’t have an account or whatever, youtube or google music, I don’t pay anything monthly. I don’t expect 20-minute prog songs to play 100%, but it seems like it’s a 2 or even 3-minute preview of songs now.

So yeah, enjoy. That’s one of the rare ways to listen/preview hard-to-find music for free.

I have youtube premium for 50 cents a day. No commercials, live concerts and good way to search for songs, and albums. Google music is soon to be part of that.
I balance that with Primephonic, which is classical only, but has a good selection, CD and Hi Res quality. PS a great way for those new to classical, lots of info and curated playlists to try. And they have some OSTs such as Dark Knight and Blade Runner 2049.

So, YouTube premium is $15.00 per month? What does that get you? First run movies? What is different regarding the music from free viewing?

I ask because I am going to drop some services, at least for a while (Shudder, Amazon and Netflix). Will probably try others. I find that most specialty services max out after about 90 days. There are only so many movies and TV shows that you Really want to watch.

My bad, Primephonic is 14.99/mo…Youtube premium is 11.99/mo. It’s everything on youtube, with NO commercials, plus their music which has a “high” setting for a bit better audio, similar to Spotify. I use it to search new music of all genres. Their suggestions algorithm is good and quickly determines your preferences. Has new releases each week, etc. I enjoy watching live performances so use it for that. If I find a classical one I like, I then look it up on Primephonic, which goes as high as 24/192. For hi res popular I like Qobuz, but don’t subscribe yet. Hope this helps. I’m no expert, but just eliminating the commercials is worth the price, lol!! PS Primephonic, and similar Idagio are music only, not videos.

But doesn’t YouTube also do movies? Or am I just confused?
