The tips are so soft and flimsy, youāll think there is no way they will work. They donāt require deep insertion. The inner āhornā is made or coated with graphene (per the company description). When you see them and feel them they make you think of this:
I actually canāt wait because Iām having difficulty finding the proper fit and seal at the moment. It seems like I have a ton of tips that Iāve tried but just none have done the job for me, even the stock tips just donāt do it. The Xelestacs are fine but they seem to close the stage a bit too much. Iām hoping these are the ones.
Hello, what size of the epros are you using with MK2? I like using them but the mediums tend to fall off easily or get stuck in my ear lol. This is probably due to there not being anything within the tip for the iem nozzle to latch onto to keep it in place. The smalls work as well but I have to shove them in more. The largeest ones just completely kill the bass response, but I was kinda expecting that.
I use the mediums.
You need to make double sure they are onā¦itās a bit of a wrestling match and I had one ping off as I hadnāt properly checked.
Check all the way round the nozzle to make sure theyāre full seated.
I used the Mediums as well. The first time I had them on my timeless, they were properly on the nozzle and the left side slipped off and stayed in my ear canal. Needless to say ā¦ I had a mini heart attack because it was in there. Luckily, I had some tweezers for replacing filters and my wife to the rescue lol but yes, if you have a pair of plastic tweezers, I found that stretching from the inside out over the nozzle helps tons.
Iāll try to make sure of that, thank you. Another interesting thing that happens sometimes when I remove the iem from my ear is that the eartip gets flipped
Just gave it a bit of a check and the eartip still seems to slide off easily with a small tug. My medium tips mightāve been stretched out too much. I wonder if thereās another way to secure them on.
yeah that inside out thing will happen sometimesā¦does to me on occasions.
One other thing is that you dont need to push them in as far as a normal tip so try them a bit shallower inserted.
Being happy with what i have is about time. I was happy with my first iem set. Then later i tried others some were better, some not so much. I simply keep trying new sets. I listen to reviews to steer me a little. The sounds are similar but different. If i stayed happy with my first set, i never would have tried anything new. I enjoy changing things up every so often. The differences in iems can be as different as music genres.
I am thinking about getting these or Sony Z1R. I listen to quite a lot of John Denver, Elton John, Eagles and some guitar and occasionally classical. Which one suits me better?
The Monarch MK2 are pretty much a grand everywhere you look. The reviews are either impressed enough to call them the years best or they fall flat. I have no idea. I was considering a pair. Moon Audio has open box for $930. If you get the open box, the sale is final. So if youāre going to lay down serious hard earned green, just get the new. The open box are tempting butā¦ the new will no doubt fall into some kind of return policy. If you like them the extra $70 will have been good insurance. If they dont agree with your every expectation, and for a grand they had better, then make use of the return policy.
