šŸ”¶ Tin P1 - Planar IEM

Does anyone know if an ES100 can power the P1? Thatā€™s my standard out and about dac/AMP.

That should work but I would get a balanced cable for them just to be sure. Single ended might be on the lower limit to really show their potential.

I been using them today with my hiby pro 3 2.5mm balanced on high gain. More then enough on the go.
Sure at desktop way more power on tap.

The P2 is coming?

When asked about price, they replied ā€œFlagshipā€

Sounds dope but without the sub on thisā€¦still a rec from me :+1:

I still love my P1 but goddamn I really wish they were more earshaped like the Legacy 3 or the KZ stuff.
If I want a good seal with the P1, Iā€™d better not smile, yawn, look about or move around in any way :frowning:

Iā€™d seriously consider paying more for a CIEM P1 option

Wait for the P2, seems to solve the fit issues with the P1.

I wonder if they got some negative feedback and have delayed the launch to make sure the tuning is good, seems odd atm, but maybe Iā€™m just looking into it too much lol.

yeah not sure why they would delay it that much. The LZ A7 is coming next month to, you would believe that they want the P2 out before that lol.

Here it is finally!

The P2 has my attention. Curious to see what happens when people get their hands on them. :crossed_fingers:They donā€™t release it with a ā€œflagshipā€ price like somebody mentioned above.

Anybody running the P1 balanced off the Hip Dac? Seems like it would be a solid pairing to warm the P1 up and you can engage the Xbass if you want a little extra low end lift.

I use the P1ā€™s with the hip dac, and they are a great match. They are definitely warmed up. I use the bass boost on the hip dac and I did the port mod to the P1ā€™s. For my ears there is plenty of bass. Before taking a flyer on the hip dac, I was running the P1ā€™s on a Fiio Q5 with the THX module. I actually prefer the sound of the Hip Dac at less than half the price. Never owned anything by IFI before, with this their cheapest entry, it has certainly opened my eyes to them

Thats promising. It sounds like they just refined the P1 sound instead of messing with it a bunch. As long as the mids are the same as the P1 then they got my money.

Tin P2 price will be $339 early bird, and $369 regular. Source is a Linsoul rep in the Linsoul discord.

Release will be sometime after the Chinese holiday ends (October 8th) but no specifics yet.

Wow quite a price hike over the P1, unless itā€™s better than a Z1R Iā€™m out.

Yeah that seems to be the consensus. Tin would have you believe itā€™s that good.

As soon as I saw the price on the P2 I decided to go for a P1 instead. Managed to score one in like-new condition for $70. The Fiio FH3 surprised me enough to be my on-the go IEM, these will be relegated to desktop use when I need some more isolation. Weā€™ll see how it goes, the hype is high. Already got a PowerDac v2 on order.

While it seems to theoretically have enough power, if you get your P1 and they sound wonky it might be the power dac since it doesnā€™t have a traditional amplifier, but instead is a dac with a 600mW into 15ohm output stage, which is why itā€™s called the [power] [dac]. Just a possible warning. I hope you love your P1 as much as I love mine.

Iā€™ll try them with my MCTH before I get the pdv2 so I should be able to see if Iā€™m missing anything. Cheers!

What are the go-to tips for these?
