Tin T4 just got announced

Yeah, the debate is if it’s worth 50 bucks better atm for the t4

got ya. maybe its just me lol, but I look at anything below 100$ as all costing the same for audio equipment. I feel anything that costs anywhere below it and you like it, then it is worth it. To much keeping up with the Jones’s!

and tin1 is a good iem for half the cost of tin2 =) why bother with tin2 if tin1 exists by the logic of the next double in price.

Well, I mean I can’t confirm or deny that since I haven’t heard the t1, but I mean… Law of diminishing returns

i agree. just saying the tins are a long way from diminished returns lol =)

Which personallyy opinion is skewed as I bought these with the discounts and got all the stuff to sweeten the deal. But law of diminishing returns may really peak at the blons or t2 in terms of rapid growth and slows down from there

MH755 lol ?? Who knows

Honestly it really does I can’t justifiably day the the t4s are worth 18 times the price of the 755s in raw performance.

But that assuming I’m not taking Into account law of diminishing returns and build quality

I’m still lukewarm with the t4, so I will get back with what I feel in a week lol

After all was said and done… I did decide to put on the koss ksc75 last night amd thought… “Yeah… definitely prefer these to those”

Chi fi IEMS are cool, but still not converted from regular headphones overall… Lol

Still a bit curious on the Tape… Given its more comparable to the P1. But easier to drive.

I personally don’t consider the Tape to be a competitor to the P1. It has the electret/e-stat driver which is cool/ exotic like the P1’s planar and means good detail but it is a completely different sound signature. The detail of the Tape comes from the upper mids/lower treble while the P1 simply has better mids over all and beautiful transient detail. The Tapes are still great but the P1s just do something special for me personally.

I would compare the Tape to the T4 since they are closer in price and both aim more for the Harman target curve. In this comparison the Tape wins unless you want the more relaxed sound of the T4 or find the 3k hill of the Tape to be too shouty.

Yeah. Ive heard mix things about the Tape. I dont really expect them to hit the same level as the p1 for me either, jusy mostly a curiosity thing. I think youre probably right about comparing to the T4 making more sense.

Yeah pretty curious about the P1 v Tape debate. It sounds like most people on this board prefer the P1’s, but bggar did a poll yesterday and most voted for the Tapes.

PS - I had to vote to see the results even though I haven’t heard the Tapes

mine arrived on friday at the office and now that I had the chance to listen to them for the last 3 hours, thru balanced cables out of ES 100 with LDAC and thru the ifi xDSD balanced and wired with OTG cable to my phone

I used for now the pre mounted white/red tips and fear the stage will get more intimate with foamies - will see
3 pairs of foamies came with mine as promised and linsoul put in the 2.5 to 4.4 adpater, the copper/silver balanced cable and the brown balanced cable - got all with promotion codes
so the 72 Euro price for the IEMS all 3 cables + adapter was very fair - the case is also very nice, while I prefer the Fiio HB1 cases, causethey are inside a bit higher so exactly enough space for the IEMs with thick cable, ES 100, 2.5 to 4.4 adapter and they are water resitant - on the outside very similar in size to the T4 case

listened mostly to Tidal Masters, my own Flac CD rips, no spotify premium time yet and no youtube, podcasts and so on

ditched single ended - directly started with balanced
yes the MMCX is a bit more loose than my T2 Pro and T3 - no problems yet - won´t change cables often

what surprised me was the filled in and expanded soundstage and the scaling over the T2 Pro and T3
while not beeing a basehead, I like the increase and found no bleeding in the mids (hate this boomy stuff)
the upper mids are exactly my thing and for the sparkly parts… I´m happy - way nicer(T2 Pro and T3 can be a pain in the …)

this evening I will listen thru the SMSL SU-8 to THX AAA 789 combo with balanced 2.5 to XLR adapter
see me prefering the ifi xDSD balanced to THX AAA 789 combo for timbre - the T4 can sound very nice timbre-wise with most songs - what I found where some strange behaviours with a few test tracks, where timbre was off

will get the BLON BL-03 in a few days - not for me, but my collegue asked me today for cheap ones and explained him the difference between T2´s and the BLON´s - as good as possible and she chose the BLONs. Will get a bit of time with them, before she uses them

I´m a Focal Elegia, Ananda, DT 1990s with a-pads (or dekoni elite velours pads) fan - if this helps… more on the bright side

Interesting, thnx for the review. I’m very interested to get the t4s in.

hey Jose - this is a first look and my very simple thoughts
I don´t have any experiance in other IEMs(except a few minutes with some higher end CA Andromedas for example - at my dealers shop and at munich high end show) … and my 43year old ears…

take all with a grain of salt

up to the moment… I´m happy with my purchase and that is all I care about

and I forgot one thing - isolation is way better with T4 … T3s and T2 Pro are less islolating

It’s cool, like you said as long as they sounded good to you. Plus most of your descriptions aligned with others so I don’t think any of it was inaccurate

People who like a punchy bass like the blond will not be happy with the T4’s. T4 has the it over the blons in the details.

Surprised sometimes at the details even coming from the tape. It has good treble extension which gives it more detail. If it had all this with the punchy bass of the blons it would be incredible. That being said it does have very focused bass. You can hear detail in the bass region which is unusual. Tried covering the port like on the T2’s but it didn’t seem to have an effect.

So after more usage, I think these are better for me with silicone tips, as I think the harshness/shout is more controlled to me. Overall I like them for sure, and the complete package is nice, but I don’t know if I would pay over 100 USD for them. I have yet to try them balanced though
