šŸ”· Topping E30

How does it stack with the Atom?

The atom is a bit wider, but the topping is only eversoslightly longer, going by looks and sitting on top, I think itā€™s just fine as long as they donā€™t have to match. I think sonically the pairing is a good choice as the e30 gives a bit more full sound and a tad less potential harshness to the atom

Hello,
Can somebody tell what is the Diameter cabel from the round connector?
I would buy the Topping E30 and would use it with a longer cable 2 meter with the Cellphone charger because the cable can be short who is in the delivery package.
Edit:Shenzen Audio said it where not good when the cabel is too long.
So the only option is a Powerbank or P50.
I take a look on this but it gives 5v/2A i donā€™t know is two much or maybe 5v/1A is better.

About the Powerbank is it a good idea when connected on the Topping and recharge in same time when is in using?

So I was wandering around the internet because I wanted to figure out what all the remote buttons do, and I stumbled upon this, which is apparently all the filter modes on the DAC.

However, I honestly donā€™t really know what any of this means. I saw on audiosciencereview people showing graphs but it went over my head honestly. Can anyone give me a simple explanation of what this means? Also is there a ā€œbestā€ mode to keep it at? I just changed it to F-1 and I think I like it more than default? But Iā€™ve only had it in this mode for like 30 minutes.

High, high treble frequency adjustments, I think you can just pick the one you prefer, most humans canā€™t hear what these filters do anyway, and if you can, itā€™s really subtle, probably more subtle than moving your headphones like 2mm, heh.

If you really want to be A U D I O P H I L E about it, thereā€™s something about pushing the distortions at higher than hearing range, and how ā€œbadā€ filters can introduce distortion under than 20khz therefore into human hearing range. Thatā€™s the main argument for hi-res audio too.

Huh, thatā€™s interestingā€¦ So many filters for something I probably canā€™t hear haha. Thank you for the explanation!

So far I like the short delay slow roll off for the most part, but just go with what you like

Iā€™ll probably try to give them all a listen tomorrow for like 30 minutes each and see if I can even tell the difference. I was swapping them for like a minute earlier and I really couldnā€™t tell a difference while cycling through them though tbh.

Youā€™d have to listen to electronic music or concentrate on things like cymbal, xylophone echoes, and all theseā€¦ tinnitus-like noises lol.

Chipmunk soundtrack I donā€™t know

Hello,
On Asr is a great discusion of the E30 is an issue with the poliraty in the Inputs.
Is this ridiculus what they talk about?

I have now ordered one and hope it makes no problem.Because i would conneted on the Ps 4 pro optical, for music on Usb port.
And the power with a Powerbank.

I have read some post about, and is very confused. Some say it do nothing, same they do it.Very crazy and some analytical thinking from some people are so meh i find.

Like is it reversed? It doesnā€™t sound reversed to me, lemme go check on an amp with a way to reverse polarity

I donā€˜t know.inplace the order to 2 days ago.
They can go same days when i become it from China.
You have listen it for weeks ago,i mean when you have find something you have say it.

Yeah no issues regarding polarity here, itā€™s not audible at least

They released a firmware update for reversed polarity supposedly.

Ahhhhh ok havenā€™t bothered with that gotcha

Most people canā€™t hear absolute polarity (swapped polarity on both channels) differences, and Iā€™m not sure I understand the mechanism by which anyone can.

Faulty components or something lol?

There are people who claim to be able to hear it, descriptions usually revolve around differences in the way low frequencies are perceived. Iā€™m certainly not discounting it.

Now one channel with bad polarity is incredibly obvious to anyone.

So I think you can hear the difference, but mainly in really specific circumstances, I have only personally really noticed the difference when mastering audio rather than listening for enjoyment. It might be easier to notice if you have heard the exact sound before it was recorded, and then after. In isolated vocals and speech its easier to tell for me if you flip the absolute polarity (still hard tho) vs like a guitar where I might be none the wiser (but thatā€™s mainly most likely because the brain is more sensitive to speech and voice and also I donā€™t have the most experience working with guitars lol). Itā€™s also easier to tell polarity on a speaker system than headphones from my experience. Polarity is a powerful tool for audio production but for listening on a system I really wouldnā€™t worry about messing with absolute polarity unless you have a sub or something integrated and mess with the polarity there

Edit: I just realized we might not be talking about the same thing lol

Yes, you are right about that.
I once did the test where you showed at Asr as a file.
It was a lot more difficult to say whether the pole was symmetrical or not, if it hadnā€™t been what what is, I wouldnā€™t hear it. What is only logical is the brain and so on. However, I see problems if you know your music. If you know the guitar comes from the right and is left now it can be annoying.
Stupidly asked you have an E30, did you update it with the new firmware? If so, were you able to find something?
I was able to cancel mine because Topping recognized it and does everything imaginable, but it can still happen what is in circulation. As I have read, he apparently has to go back to the factory for an update of a chip that you do not have firmware But with the new batch everything should be okay but just takes time. I would like to think that if it had come back I would not send it back and complain about it. So I can just as well wait another 2 months to get the same thing out
