Better sub-bass texture but less mid-bass in your face.

I think they are a nice compliment, since Mele has more mid bass, so you can boom boom when you feel like to. If I had 400USD Iâd get Mele, Teas, Apple dongle and tips.
Thank you for your detailed reply. I have the apple dongle already - it made me sell my Fiio M11!! Youâve sold me on the Teas. If thereâs any going second hand Iâll be on the look out. Itâs only ÂŁ215 on AliExpress anyway so not overly expensive - relatively anyway
My mele will arive in the next 1 or 2 days yeaaa. In the mean time listening to my P1 still one of my fav planar iem. Tq to @hawaiibadboy for recomending the p1 a couple of years ago.
It was not detailed at all, I can detailed it further but not here to not spamm this thread (more). Else by now people will say Iâm shilling Mangird and Linsoul
Original question: âWhat would the teas add over the mele?!â
I approve of everything said here having listened to my Teas for a week now. However, Teas are the first IEM that I figured that burn-ins are a MUST. Tea is also my first (and ENDGAME) hybrid, so I wonder if itâs because of the BA harshness, but I couldnât stand the Tea the first two days due to the sibilant highs.
Two days laterâ sound drastically shifted to a more balanced and buttery feel. I also noticed that the Tea have such a low impedance that it doesnât need any dongles for my phone. In fact, when I pair it with the xDuoo Link, I find it sibilant with Spotify. Turns out the Teaâs are so well tuned that it improves the phoneâs output already and no external dac is needed.
Now these are the four horsemen of my Endgame Apocalypse. I am content.
Mangird Tea with Final E tips (M)
Mele with Spinfit CP145 (L)
Blon BL-05s with Final E tips (L)
Tin T4 with stock tips that come with Mele (M)
All three latter ones have different sound signatures that Iâd like to change up from time to time. Mangird Tea enhances everything from the mids to the highs, and is still the best all-rounder and my personal endgame.
Alright a bit of first impressions⊠I feel like Iâm gna sound like everyone else⊠anyway letâs go:
Disclaimer: my points of references are HD6XX, Blon bl03âs and Thieaudio Legacy 4âs. The L4âs I use on the go and the HD6XX at home, the blâs donât get much use.
Tuning is well done as said before resulting in pleasant listening and the best timbre in acoustic guitars Iâve heard thusfar, I need more mental burn-in to get used to the midbass quantity which lacks on my daily drivers- but compared to the blons itâs just many many times tighter and more detailed in this department. The only gripes I could think of, which is not to be expected at this pricepoint because Iâm comparing it mostly to the L4âs which are 4 times the price, are the details in the mids - for example in Thom Yorkes Black swan vocals lack compared to the L4âs and the representation of very busy songs making some parts of the bass and lower mids lesser quality but thatâs probably because the difference between single dynamic and 1DD 3Baâs in the legacies. Iâm looking forward to trying the set with a fully silver cable, spinfits and a couple of days of mental (and maybe physical) burn-in. Overal at 50 dollars this feels phenomenal- when I compare it to my other equipment it feels it would still be acceptable at a 100 or even 150. Well done!
No, I really mean that. Look at peaks as well. Iâm not doubting you, itâs just⊠strange. Really hoping Mangird doesnât f*ck up.
Yes. They changed it to 2pin. December last year they also did a revision. Changed box, cable (to worse) and Vents (better now - bigger vent to fix for suction problems)
Everythingâs good now LUL
I think the tips I used from the start might have played into this; I was using the wide-bore tips that came with Mele to try to get all the details. Was wowed by the first impression, then started to get piercing on the 2nd day, then tip roll from day 3, and Perfection at day 4.
Pretty close to my experience. I changed the tips a day earlier.
The moment I got the box of ear tips out was listening to Babe Iâm Gonna Leave You by Led Zeppelin and the repeated cymbal strikes during the chorus. Once I switched away from the stock tips that wasnât so harsh. It needed something to pull the treble back just a bit, which wasnât what I was expecting.
After trying out a few tips, I am using Final Series E right now, which is working very well, but I have a pair of CP145 coming that I want to try too.
YES, do a tip roll. For me the Final E is the best, CP145 doesnât maintain that much detail for me but itâs pretty close to the Final E. Then again, everyoneâs hearing and ear canals are built different so always good to try when can
Yes that is why you have to roll tips. I find the cp 145 superior to final e but all ours ears are different. I have had final e on and felt it was congested and to dark. That is just my findings. The fact in all fairness I never end up using finals. They are always a bridesmaid never the bride.
