Yeah coffee is an upgrade to tea IMO
With some coupons and no taxes vs tax, I can buy Aria and Mele for the same price. Last day of this sale and I still couldnāt decide.
That usually means buy the one with the coupon now, and get the other one later.
How much do you enjoy sub bass and bass? With tip rolling, you can squeeze more bass out of Starfield/Aria, but I donāt think you get the same slam and rumble like with Mele. Starfield/Aria has better treble and more sparkle IMO. Good luck!
gotta love the bass pulls on the Mele 7 seconds into the song in,
Bass guitar reverb after each pull on the Mele is real. In that regard, its comparable to OH10, same cable, same tips, same setup to test.
Graph v.s. a guyās opinion.
Always go with the graph bro.
It has no feelings
i feel like iām stating the obvious here but
unless weāre talking moondropās multitude of cloned shell releases then different iem shapes are going to cause deviations from a graph per different ears. you can lose and gain a noticeable amount of bass/treble from fit / insertion depth, if thereās a vent on the DD getting blocked, and tips.
Looks like Mele has more rumble and neither has sparkle sparkles
Iām going to go with crin like I usually do
I think Mele is smooth but not dark. Also, peaks after 8Khz should be taken with a grain of salt as any person who measures will tell you. It is literaly a resonance peak.
The stock cable was nice, but the Jelly Cable with 16 core definitely slightly improved the technical sound like imaging and sound transition. It has more clear, crispier, and slightly louder. The sound doesnāt grainy like the stock cable when i increased to the max volume. Aria ($80) comes with Bad cable quality. Mele ($70) comes with Great cable quality. Using a spinfit CP100 or 145, and tanchjim tanya stock tips (4-4.5mm), the instruments and vocal have more intimate and fun.
Another person posted that filter mod appears to improve the treble veil, this time using Moondrop 3 layers filter: Redirecting....
Can @hawaiibadboy please try out and also graph Mele with some filter mods? Thank you!
Edit: removed link to CP145 as the sale ended
Edit 2: actually, more sales are popping up! Just search for Spinfit tips on AliX. E.g., ᅯ2.30 | DUNU SpinFit CP145 In-Ear Earphone Patented 360 Degree Free Rotation Ear Tips Silicone Eartip 4.5 mm Nozzle Dia CP100M CP800M

Not sure if anyone has shared this info, but since I was just going through cable listings yesterday, the Tripowin Jelly has graphene in it as well (AliExpress page info / Linsoul page says the same):
āSilver-plated OCC+Alloy Copper Graphene+OCC Mixed Braided Cableā
Makes sense how this cable is pin straight and wraps like a gem. This cable is my fav at the moment, with the XINHS 4-core graphene coming close. Knocked half a off the XINHS because it doesnāt wrap as good and there are slight kinks here and there even when I tried to pull it straight, making me worry that Iāll somehow break the threads within if I twist it too much. But Iāll say the weight of the XINHS 4-core is perfecto.
Edit: Due to the weight of the XINHS 4-core and the lightness of the MELE, I eventually paired them together and used the stock cable for the weighty Blon BL-05s. Now the MELE sits tightly in my ears with a balanced weight on the earhooks. Just using this as a statement for how light the MELE is; itās basically nonexistent when you wear them.
I fee a detail weāre missing is the question was particularly regarding staging and imaging - which they may well differ in substantially without it graphing, if Iām not mistaken?

I assume these are the god mode cables they way everyone is about them. I not only donāt have a XINHS cable, I have never ordered from aliexpress, so that might be next on my chifi journey. The Mele is taking me places.
Donāt know about āgod mode/tierā cables but I love them. I originally took a punt buying one when on AE on sale as I liked the looks. Now easily my favourite cable, high quality, look great, feel great, nice and flexible and perfect weight for me. As ever YMMV. No issues ordering/shipping through AE, not sure where you are but Xinhs orders take around a week and a half to get to me in the UK.
