I recommend buying the qudelix 5k DAC (full stop).
I donât have one yet, but it is on my list, and has enough praises to be worth while if you want a wireless bluetooth adapter with LDAC support. That integrated belt clip can probably clip on to anywhere you need it: shirt, pockets, etc. Plenty of power for all day listening. Small. Works in USB mode as well. PEQ. Decent software support. A well thought out device that seems to let you use it any way you see fit. It is the definitive upgrade alternative to FiiO BTR5 that wonât break the bank IF you can find it in stock.
The Mele doesnât seem to suffer from low output voltage, it keeps a nice bass and loud volume even at 0.5V_rms.
Just turn it around- definitely snugs it up. I do this with many different iems when working out. Also keeps the sound right as some hear a treble drop with soft ends out. You might even go down a size.
Super late to the party but hey, better late than never.
Finally got me a pair of Meles. I havenât gotten the chance to listen to them for long but the 3 songs I did listen to were great. Just the right amount of punch in the low end I was looking for. Little harsh in the upper mid/lower treble region but I havenât tip rolled yet. They are ridiculously comfortable by the way. Super light weight. The shells fit so nicely in my ears. By far the most comfortable IEM Iâve ever tried. Not to Mention the cable, itâs fantastic.
Iâm very happy. I canât wait to listen more. @hawaiibadboy thank You, sir
âI tell you what, letâs forget the fact that youâre coming a little late to the party and embrace the fact that you showed up at all.â â S. Seaborn ( West Wing )
I agree about the comfort, and I am wearing mine today. I tend to use them on busy days for calls and meetings, since they do a nice job of everything, and I then I donât feel the need to mess with them, or change them out. I have one pair with Final E and another with CP100+, these are the broken in blue jeans of the IEM world.
Ahhh thatâs an awesome quote, very fitting for the situation
Yeah from my short 15 minutes or so with them, they are incredibly comfortable. I look forward to leaving them in for a few hours. However, one thing to note is that even in those short 15 minutes, condensation did form on the nozzle which did concerned me. They did include 6 nozzle filters in the case which is nice though.
Woah that quickly? Dang. I wonder if the Tanchjim filter mod would work for the Mele - there were reports of Tanchjim filters being more water repellent than the stock Olina filters, but this hasnât been verified. Alternatively, if you have a hydrophobic solution spray (like the one for glass lenses), then that could work. Only basing this on my experience at work though and not on actual IEM filters
These are good tips, thanks man. We donât have much humidity where Iâm from, the east coast of the US, during this time of year however, the summer months are super humid. Around 85% in July and August so Iâm definitely a touch worried Iâll fall victim to the whole condensation issue. Weâll see!
I definitely think itâs for the filters. Classic sales tactic. Draw you right in. However, I will say my Meles included 6 pairs of filters. Which was nice because I unfortunately experienced poor sound out of the left side after only 3 hours of listening. Wasnât a huge deal, replaced the filter in a few minutes and I was good to go. Still a slight inconvenience though.
