šŸ”¶ Tripowin X BGGAR Mele

Yeahā€¦ First batch was sold in the first hours lol. Pretty crazy for sure. For me it took 3 days, but I was one of the first and I paid extra for DHL. Some people are still waiting and bought them on the first hours. Thereā€™s also the color problemā€¦ They are shipping in batches. Like one week black, one week goldā€¦

I ordered mine on the 20th too, and I just got them on Friday. I live just north of LA, so the shipping time is nothing once they clear the port and customs. The transfer point to USPS in Whittier, is about 60 miles from my place. I got the black ones, and have seen that the gold ones are running behind schedule.

Mine showed up today. DAYUM that sub bass. Havenā€™t stuck an iem in my hearballs in a while and forgot how isolating they are. For a $50 iem I gotta say this is way better than I expected. Tuning is spot on and I canā€™t believe how good it handles busy songs with just a single DD. I wish they could tune an open back planar iem like the m350 or isines like this and get some crazy open back stage. Maybe 7hz will take a stab at an open back planar some day. @hawaiibadboy good shit bro. these things kick ass.

Am I the only one who finds the Mele to be deficient in the bass region? Iā€™ve got the BL03, FH3, TFZ no 3, and Jade Audio EA-1 for comparison and have tried multiple tips (Spinfit, Sednafit, Final Audio, Dekoni) and this pair has the least low end presence. Great detail in the mids and treble but definitely not for anyone who appreciates bass. Just my two pennies.

You might prefer mid bass over sub bass? Mele mid bass is just a touch emphasized but has a sub bass boost as it appear from the graph and from what i ear

I like all bass, lol. Bought these on promise of increased sub (quantity, quality, either). Regardless, both mid and sub sound are anemic as far as I can tell. Curious about those graphs, lots of variables in measurement. Hoping to see others.

I have a ton of sub bass on my set. I am sure that with the tips you have you were able get a good seal so make me wondering itā€™s a QC issue. What is your source and music. I can verify on my set.

You should have slightly more sub bass on mele and more mid bass and bl03 but overall it is quite similar

I thought about that, and would love it to be true. Iā€™ve used the Apple dongle and Fiio BTR5 wired and wireless. Apple Music lossless and Google Music. Had them for over a week and keep doing A/B comparisons. Trust me, I want to be on this train!

Quick question, Iā€™m fairly new to iem measurements: Do you use any particular tips during measurement?

Those ainā€™t my graph. I donā€™t have measuring gear. I believe itā€™s used with tips (to be confirmed)

For myself I have more sub bass with final e and spinfit cp 100

Make sure whatever tips you are using you are getting a good seal. If you donā€™t have one you will lose all the sub bass and a lot of other things in the process. A good simple test is try talking out loud with out the IEM in and with it in. You should notice a drastic change to an in the head voice with your IEMs in your ears.

Thanks for the ā€œtipā€

Iā€™ll double-check using the method you described.

I found that 145 do a nice job for me.The finals are dark to dark. Your mileage may differ but I tr would try these.(spinfits)

How will the sound profile change when paired with say Dekoni Mercury, Spiraldots, and SP100?

I do not like the foam tips especially the Dekonis. I am familiar with them. I own spiral dots and they were great on the H 40 but to me they are just ok with Mele. They present a brighter tonality that over time was not as tonally correct. The 100 are good and my second choice.

The 155 just are not as detailed to my ears. The spinfits as a whole are consistently better with it. I tried the Sednas on them also. The Crystal was really good with H 40 and might well be my first choice on them. The light fits and regular Sednas weā€™re ok. Our ears are all different so your mileage may vary.

I also spent a week with the Dusk and yes rolled all these. The 145 was a game changer and for me made the Dusk sound so much better. That I just threw in as an aside. The Dusk are not perfect none are but that combo was great. Maybe the 145 is a great match with my ear canal.

I donā€™t rec Foams unless specific reasons, but I found that Dekonis suck ass. Comply Isolation ftw.

Why arenā€™t foam tips recommended? Does it alter the sound too much?

Yes, but it depends on a lot of factors like your own ears, nozle sizle, your prefered tuning, etc.

Silicon are the way to go, 98% of the times.
