Exactly what I was looking for, and of course youāre gonna include shots
Thanks again!
Cp tips brings up the treble and tighten up the bass just a tad bit for other (set)ā¦ Maybe it will work for the Mele if I want to have it sightly elevated highs?
Thanks, I have the 145s and theyāre the best that have worked with the exception of foam.
The Mele sounds absolutely phenomenal with Atomic Drum Assemblyās āTake On The Worldā the bass really SLAPS
Thx, Iām going to see if Linsoul will exchange them.
Congratz, hope you enjoy it
Thanks. That I will good sirā¦
So far in loving this setā¦ Bass is tighter than the OG BL03. Guitar decay and post pull reverb is audible in favorite tracks such as The Man who Sold the World and Oh Me, both by Nirvana, MTV live in New Yorkā¦ The post reverb pull can be heard first 5 seconds of the first track chorusā¦ It feels good. The snare is clean but not sharp. And highs are good too and not piercing (First 6 seconds of Testify by RATM), as mentioned alot here, very good for extended listening. Definitely more tolerable than my OH10.
Bon Scott voice was slightly more forward than the 03 in Whole Lotta Rosie. The soundstage is about almost similar to BLON and definitely smaller than OH10. So far is definitely a set that is an upgrade to the 03ā¦ A definite rec for new comers in mind that have a slight freedom in their budget with libraries similar to most of us here.
My mele have just arrived, very tentative impression is that these are fantastic. Worth the 4 week delivery wait time. Thank you HBB and everyone else for the recommendation. Iāll consider getting the Teas at Christmas time and call it a day.
Hereās to enjoying great music
Santa approves this. That combo is end-game. Congratz
Glad you like. Thanks for the trust
These are a clear upgrade over the Blon 03 and Starfield for my library. What would the teas add over the mele?!
They arrived, put l4ās cables for aesthetics, will get spinfits next week for fit. First impressions will follow soon.
I just need to share my experience while listening to some of my Japanese music library earlier today. Iāll just share 2 songs here!
BRADIO ā å¹øćć®ć·ć£ćć ā Instantly greets you with such a wonderful drum beats and the guitar in the left channel shortly after. The male vocals throughout the entire song is just so clean and clear. At the 0:45 - 054 mark really shows how clear the detail of the guitar strum on the left channel during the pre-chorus.
At the 1:14 - 1:24 mark again shows that guitar strumming is just so addicting to listen to. At the 2:33 - 2:55 mark presents the bass detail focus and the soundstage of the background male vocals around you with the guitar building up to the final chorus. Such a wonderful song to test with.
POLKADOT STINGRAY āFREEā starts with the guitar strums in the mids followed by what I feel is one of the most addictive bass tabs Iāve ever listened to. The previous song made me loved their guitar strings while this song got me hooked on the bass tabs. At the 0:29 - 0:43 mark showcases how in the mids, the vocal and the bass doesnāt overlapped with one another while the guitar in the right channel just shows how wide the Meleās soundstage can be for this price.
Iām just gonna jump right into the final chorus at the 2:06 - 2:40 mark. The imaging feel while listening to the final chorus is just so darn fun. Her vocals doesnāt felt recessed at all and she was very clear, the drum beats are heavenly and it felt it was drumming right on your head at times. The 2 guitarists accompanying both channels with the bass details in the mids is very addicting.
Both of these songs really got me off my chair and just enjoyed them so much. My Fiio FD5, while gave wonderful instrumental details, it unfortunately presented vocal sibilance in BRADIOās songs while Polkadot Stingrayās songs presented recessed vocals in it. Mele had none of those problems and was hella fun to listen to from start till finish. The only other IEM to give this much fun for these 2 songs for me was the Fiio FH3.
I donāt usually recommend songs much, but I really really must recommend you guys to try give these 2 songs a listen. Try it with the Mele or with your own IEMs. Itās just so fun to listen to!
- MIDS mids MIDS mids.
- Better sub-bass texture but less mid-bass in your face.
- Overall tuning balance (nothing TOO enphacised but will appear when called)
- Detail (micro and macro)
- Stage
- Imaging
- Joy
- Tears
I think they are a nice compliment, since Mele has more mid bass, so you can boom boom when you feel like to. If I had 400USD Iād get Mele, Teas, Apple dongle and tips.
Thank you for your detailed reply. I have the apple dongle already - it made me sell my Fiio M11!! Youāve sold me on the Teas. If thereās any going second hand Iāll be on the look out. Itās only Ā£215 on AliExpress anyway so not overly expensive - relatively anyway
My mele will arive in the next 1 or 2 days yeaaa. In the mean time listening to my P1 still one of my fav planar iem. Tq to @hawaiibadboy for recomending the p1 a couple of years ago.
It was not detailed at all, I can detailed it further but not here to not spamm this thread (more). Else by now people will say Iām shilling Mangird and Linsoul
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thank you very much
Original question: āWhat would the teas add over the mele?!ā
I approve of everything said here having listened to my Teas for a week now. However, Teas are the first IEM that I figured that burn-ins are a MUST. Tea is also my first (and ENDGAME) hybrid, so I wonder if itās because of the BA harshness, but I couldnāt stand the Tea the first two days due to the sibilant highs.
Two days laterā sound drastically shifted to a more balanced and buttery feel. I also noticed that the Tea have such a low impedance that it doesnāt need any dongles for my phone. In fact, when I pair it with the xDuoo Link, I find it sibilant with Spotify. Turns out the Teaās are so well tuned that it improves the phoneās output already and no external dac is needed.
Now these are the four horsemen of my Endgame Apocalypse. I am content.
- Mangird Tea with Final E tips (M)
- Mele with Spinfit CP145 (L)
- Blon BL-05s with Final E tips (L)
- Tin T4 with stock tips that come with Mele (M)
All three latter ones have different sound signatures that Iād like to change up from time to time. Mangird Tea enhances everything from the mids to the highs, and is still the best all-rounder and my personal endgame.
