Just arrived today.
The only IEMs in my inventory - everything else is circumaural or earbuds. Z’s review convinced me on these.
My only other experience with IEMs was some Sennheiser Momentums I tried in 2017 and hated. I don’t think I was putting them in the right way, which caused a huge drop in sound quality.
I read some stuff on earphone fit and tried it with my new Moondrop Starfields today. So far, so good. I think I’ll totally be getting my money’s worth on these. It’s a very alluring sound. Since I’m a total IEM noob I can’t really say anything other than “they sound way better then the Momentums I was probably inserting wrong three years ago!”

So I’ve waited patiently for my Lawton cups (which actually arrived today), but I’ve wanted another open-back headphone to compliment my LCD-X, which would reside at my computer setup.
I also needed another amp for said setup (I returned my RNHP-#2 in anticipation of the Fidelice RNHP).
With the Coronavirus likely locking us down here in L.A. in the near future, I ordered myself a Focal Clear Pro and another RNHP; next day delivery!

What was your reaction on seeing the cups in person? I have been debating doing a tune-up, but it would cost more than the headphones did. I got a deal on a demo pair. I am thinking maybe I should just buy the Cascades and sell the TH-610’s if the Cascades are what I hope they are.

Dude, the cascades are amazing. I regret not buying them off of my friend when he offered them at an amazing price. The TH610 are great also though. I do prefer the Cascades over the TH610 by the slightest of margins, for fun usage. For something more balanced, the TH610 are the better fit.

I really like the cups. I’ll post some pics in the TH-00 discontinued-now sort of Lawton thread.

There is so much to unpack here:
1.What does a city like LA look like during quarantine? It must be an amazing contrast to it’s usual energy. Even my little costal NorCal town is weirdly quiet now.
