Plus, you would probably have to pay shipping from the US.
Very nice. I think you will like them a lot compared to the Aeolus. Youāll see where all that detail has been hiding
Just ordered two pairs of Yaxi Pads, one for the Porta Pro and one pair for the KSC75. Curious to find out how long shipping them will take though.
I received mine today. I ordered on the 10th
If you live in the US. Took about a week and a half to ship to California. Also be aware if you plan on cleaning the pads they do bleed dye if you apply water to them. My red pads have faded quite a bit
Two weeks, thatās not too bad.
Good tip, thanks! I live in Europe, though thatāll probably not make it faster. As long as they donāt take over a month Iām fine with it.
That was my 2nd order with them. The 1st order took 8 days, but that was prior to the current zombie apocalypse, lol.
Close to a zombie apocalypse
I just received this. Why? PS3 -> JDS Labs Atom. No hiss even at max volume on HIGH gain (what?!).
Remember, the PS1 was 95dB SNR. Time to enjoy CDs, DVDs, Blurays, .wavsā¦).
with my province shutting shit down next coupke of weeks I need something to keep me occupied so I bought myself a new yoyo been wanting an unresponsive yoyo for a while and this seemed to be a easily acessable good beginner unresponsive yoyo with a decent shape to finally learn some new tricks that the new shape will allow
Thatās cool. I love the colorway.
shutting stuff down in the next couple of weeks? just read that everything is now shut down, LoL, with considerations of enacting the Quarantine Act, which can hit offenders with up to $1 Mil fines and up to 3 years in prison.
starts tommonrow. work still depends if work may or might not continue depending on what the higher ups say cause we could turn into an essential bussiness.
Nova Scotia declared a State of Emergency yesterday. No crowds of larger than 5 people allowed.
Fines are $1,000.00 a pop per person and $7,500.00 per instance per business.
Maybe this will teach the idiots, but I doubt it.
I just installed a 10$, max 10dB noctua fan in my computer. Eerily silent room now.
My computer (with high CPU load) used to sound like a private jet or something.
Now I can enjoy movies and music at night with my HD58Xs: no background noise.
love the noctua fans well worth their cost imo
@ValentineLuke Still waiting on a shipping update on the LCD-i4s, and I noticed you on the headphones.com forums considering buying them or the i3s last year. Just curious if you ever picked up or demoād either? Iāve heard the i4s a bunch and talked myself out of buying them at full price several times. They are an outlier, almost like the HD800/HD800s for me where I was only going to pull the trigger when I found a good deal because I knew theyād never be my daily driver at full price. I think they are really great, if a little impractical, and I can see comfort being an issue for some people. Plus, the idea of a non-isolating open iem is tough to swallow, but under current quarantine conditions, isolation isnāt my top concern
I havenāt, actually.
I decided to focus on my desktop setup (I have two setups at home), and I just picked up a headphone and another amp. I still need to upgrade both dacs before I revisit the idea of a portable upgrade.
For now Iām pretty content with my Porta Pros with the DFC. Itās a pretty awesome pairing.
I do Love Audeze, so the LCD-4iās will remain a consideration.
I hope to enjoy them and I look forward to your impressions.
Not sure if I ever did post an update to this, but Iām quarantined and bored. I really love the Atlas, but they have some quirks that I may have exacerbated with my cable choice. They pretty much need to be worn down vs. over ear. You can do over ear, but itās a weird seating, and thatās really my only issue with these. They are the bassier Andromedas I wanted, but for the first week I had a really hard time getting a good fit. If you press them in too quickly, the air pressure more or less locks the driver in place and you get no audio at all. There is a vent at the back, but it doesnāt seem to be very effectual. Either I figured it out, or they fixed themselves, as itās now only an issue 1 in maybe every 10 times, where it used to be every time in the first week. If you like a highly resolving V shape, these are a definite recommendation. Also, not nearly as sensitive as the Andromedas, so I can and do run them off of my desktop amps with no pronounced hiss. I went a little iem crazy lately after picking up an M15, and these are at the top of my usage list. I bought the ALO 4.4 balanced cable and had to strip the ear loop, with mixed results. I got the outer, thicker, sheath removed, but there is an inner one I am worried I will end up nicking the cable if I try to remove it. That was my stupidity when ordering though, so I donāt knock Campfire for it and remain a fan
