What did you buy today? (Part 1)

unbalanced for now

I mean these do the job well, you can run them in reverse because it’s a passive device no problem

If they are done correctly it should be around the same, with a switch you will not loose any voltage but if you are only splitting rca to two devices over a moderate distance the audible difference would be negligible if any

PSA: I don’t recommend this switch:

I have one and find that there is audible bleed across the signal paths, to the point where I couldn’t here the difference between a Modi DAC and an SU-8 DAC. When using an Atom to switch between the 2, the difference was readily noticeable. YMMV.

Interesting, I guess I have had good luck with this one then, I know a few people that don’t have any bleed or crosstalk issues with theirs

I guess avoid that one then lol

If you only have two devices, you should be just fine with a splitter or a decent switch. Personally I would go with a splitter in your case because it’s easier to deal with and you don’t need more outs

QC issues maybe? I could switch to an open input and still here the music. It was quite of course, but loud enough to be able to identify the song and such.

Hmmm could be. That’s strange

Check these guys out, they can custom make you a quality splitter or switch box. http://www.mapletreeaudio.com/index.html

If you are willing to pay the price that is lol, that’s kinda a bit overkill

Did you order a custom or red one in stock?

Non-custom, nothing fancy standard(?) red cable with mini-xlr to mini-xlr connectors and the new hard case. I got the interconnects and two days after I placed my order the cases for the interconnects changed. :frowning:

Not complaining. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I placed order. Waited 6 weeks on SendyAudio cables because of confusion and I am still new at this. So I will take my “chill pill” and wait.

IMO it’s just a shame that, if you want a Final Audio IEM with a removable cable, you have to pay like 10 times this price and go for the E5000 or whatever it is.

A little follow up on my Sundara acquistion. I emailed today to see when it would be leaving. The store is closed, but they are shipping.

Turns out they don’t have any and never did. They are buying open boxes straight from HiFiman. These are the headphones that they use at shows and since there are no more shows coming up, they are selling them. They have three Sundara’s coming in and one is still available. They also have some Ananda’s and HE400I’s coming in, but I don’t know how many. Just a heads up for any Canadians that might be interested.
Hopefully they are in tomorrow. They shipped last week and he was expecting them yesterday.

Well… I can’t help but to remind myself of how mean I am to my wallet. What is it this time? More music. Did I need to? No. Did I want to? …Shut up, that doesn’t matter.
Listening to the first album, I could see it being pretty great to kick back and relax while listening to a new pair of audio equipment. Surprised me when I started the first track and could hear what sounded like someone running up to a door before walking in on the left side, before opening the door, you hear some music playing for about 5 seconds, the door closing again before running back off into the distance on the right side.

The second one, I don’t know that I need to explain too much beyond it was $5
