Bit blurry picture, but wanted to show that the stack is complete now
Curious to hear your thoughts
Niceā¦!
So far, I believe it sounds excellent. Card hasnāt even fully warmed yet, so I decided to make lunch and let it warm up more. Funny how much better this sounds than my old Modi multibit standalone. I donāt know if it is just the Asgard 3 comboing well with the card, or if they have tweaked a few things. So far, color me super impressed.
Yeah the asgard 3 is what got me interested in schiit again for amps, glad you are enjoying it over here
I ended up going foam-tips only for my Atlas. Squish the tips down before insertion and no nasty lockout (or loud flex pings, which happened a couple times).
Some quick impressions about the Iotavx stack - now the power seems limitless with the RP600Ms. With first impressions it kinda feels the centre image is better and vocals seem more forwards, but maybe its just my imagination. Seems like a great combo for many years to come (though audiophiles should not really say thatā¦ probably will be looking at amps in classifieds in next few days ) Also hooking them up was a really easy, no issues what so ever.
I tried foam tips, and they got rid of the issue, but took some of the treble away with it. Foam tips are usually a last resort for me. They may be comfortable, but I feel like silicone tips will give me the better experience on most of my higher-performing iems. Iāve had better results with Symbios, but I try to avoid pure foam. In any case, I either learned how to insert them better or the vent opened up as I no longer have the problem
Good to know! I bought some Symbios for exactly that purpose, but havenāt installed them yetāI figured Iāll wear down the foamies I have on there now first. The Atlas donāt get a whole lot of rotation time since Iāve got so much time in front of desktop amps w/ headphones.
I tend to have finicky ears as far as tips go. The 2 tips I use the most on any IEMs I can fit them on are Final Audio e series tips and Symbio W tips. Hope the symbio work out for you.
I havenāt had much trouble with tips. I like Campfireās silicone tips, and Iāve had good luck with Spiral Dots. I also picked up a pile of these cheap tips from Amazon and mix/match the red and blue to speed up L/R identification:
Hereās an example on my Andro Golds. I really love the look and they donāt screw up the sound at all.
I havent tried the tips you linked, so Iāll have to check those out. They look nice on you Andromedas.
Campfire marshmallow tips are also another I like. Iām using those on my Orion CK. To me though, final audio e series tips are top of the line for comfort. Also, they sound excellent on most campfire iems.
Meanwhile, what I bought today (or, rather, what arrived last night)ājust in case things get worse and I have to bug out and find another Class M planet:
Bluetooth enabled, pairs with a phone for making and receiving calls, and as a Bluetooth speaker (so itās not even off-topic, lol).
Photobomb by RME ADI-2 DAC, Monoprice 887 Amp [the home copy], and the tip of the cable connected to my ZMF Eikons.
Thatās awesome!
Definitely we should see more tri-corders in this forum!
I looked for a medical one to scan people for Coronavirus, but they were all either inert cosplay props or expensive etsy projects. Pass for now.

I remember back in the mid-2000ās an app came out that would report how many calories you burned with your keyboard / mouse clicks n presses. LoL!
