I’m serious, I friend had a pair and they were great, hard to find now though. They made my ears too sweaty though so I never picked them up, I should have though
do you know if there is any difference for black and silver on these gel pads?
Apparently there is, but I have only personally heard the clear white gel pads
The search results for these are not encouraging, but something to keep an eye out for!
32 ohms vs 600 ohms, is there an enormous difference?
I would say so, they sound fairly different
Can the RNHP push the 600ohm?
how are the DT 880 HZ different from the Premium? I know the Pro’s swap out for a coiled cable vs the Prem.
It’s a pretty nice pairing imo, just make sure your dac has a pretty decent output volume wise, you should be just fine
The HZ is the premium I think, but are 250 ohms instead of 600? The premium also has less clamp than the pros
okay…well, the Prem come up at 250 ohm on Beyer’s site, same as the HZ.
oh, I know the 880 comes in 3 different flavors…and on that listing, the 32, 250 and 600 are all called Premium.
I had those pads years ago. Sweat level definitely cranked to 11. I can’t remember how they altered the sound. They did isolate super well, which is why I purchased them. I definitely remember the effort it took to put them on.
I had heard about the pad difference. However, the black set was open box under $100.
(Buying open box from Amazon Warehouse is almost always an amazing deal. This time is only rated this as “good” and said there was a large defect on the bottom over 1"… They are perfect condition; box, case, everything).
I am pretty impressed with the sound as is, but I’ll probably try some silver pads if I decide to keep the 880s–time will tell. Right now I am A/Bing them against my Sundaras…
The most comfortable headphones in the world the DT880’s lol. i still have mine
Lol…Maybe your rental property could use some speakers?
I mean just turn the rental property into a big listening room lol
and also a nice set of rubber keycaps
