I didn’t find those to be bass cannons like everybody says. The majority of the bass is in the mid and upper bass and it is actually very modest. A lot of people complained about the cups rattling, but I firmly believe they were listening at very unreasonably loud volume.
They also have a peak in the mids around 3K that actually can be quite harsh.

I felt the same about them. Reasonably clear, but nothing special in the bass. I kept them for several months and moved them on.
