That’s what I use for my main leisure setup! It works pretty well, nice app.
Yeah. Though I was having 2nd thoughts since I already have the Elex. And I literally just got the Tuba amp… and Asgard 3…
I might have to take a break from this forum to let my wallet recover lol
Any quick initial thoughts on the tuba so far? How’s the smaller burn in process going?
Nice! I rearranged my house and I now have a listening room so my stereo will be receiving more love
“Smaller burn in”? Do you normally burn in a tube amp?
So far I’m finding it makes it much easier to listen to some headphones like the Sendy Aiva since it takes some edge off the treble and gives it a more natural sound (same with Sundara). I haven’t tried most of my Sennheiser’s yet because I’m waiting on a XLR to 1/4" adapter. I will post more about it later.
So hagerman most likely burns in his stuff beforehand as there isn’t a large burn in period from what I have experienced, but yes tubes physically burn in lol. They are kinda on a bell curve in terms of performance, they don’t sound that great initially, then they get better, then they stabilize for awhile, and then eventually go downhill, they have a finite lifespan. Think of them as an incandescent light bulb but more picky lol. I wouldn’t worry about it too much, perhaps just leave it on for like 24 hours playing some tracks and you should be just fine (and of course for each listening session let it warm up a bit before use for the best sound). Just after the initial burn in period, I would make sure to turn them off when not in use to preserve the lifespan of the tube
Well, these just got in.
I am gonna put that microSD card in my camera and put the 128GB card from the camera in this instead
1More headphones! My second favorite I have ever tried. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts on them.
Initially… they NEED a boost in comfort. Second, I couldn’t get a good feel for them while I was out, cause there was a rattling coming from the headphones. Shaking my head with them on only exasperated the issue. Once I got back home, i found the screws on the right side where loose, letting the black cover shake around. Sadly, this may mean I’ll have to wait for tonight to listen to both the 1More IEMs and headphones.
Screws loose? Sheesh, I have never heard of that. That is very rare for 1More to miss something like that. They put a lot of care into making their products with good build quality.
I set them aside for a little bit, but… I am noticing that the right side still sounds like something is loose, shifting around when I move my head. I’m debating on requesting a replacement…
That’s why I sold mine. I couldn’t stand the central hotspot it created on my head despite it being considerably lighter than many of the planars that I own (old school Hifiman and Audezes), of which I can wear for hours on end without comfort issues.
I can’t say that I care for on ears. These… They are on the boundary between on and over ears. Can’t stand how headphones like the m60x feel… These… It may just be in my head, but they feel weird.
Honestly I would send them back and request a refund, then buy a brand new pair. That way if the new pair is defective still or something happens to it, you can ask for a replacement that way.
I had ordered it from Amazon directly. I just went through the process of submitting for a replacement. I have 30 days to ship this one back, but the replacement is scheduled to arrive May 2nd.
Being a person who doesn’t really like razer and seeing all my previous keycaps orders failing and how fucking rare white shine through caps are I caved and got these
Ordered the new type of filters for the Starfields and a pair of Moondrop ShiroYuki’s. It’ll take a big ol’ while before they get here though.
They’re not bad for the price. At least the black looks good. Heard mixed reviews about the green version tho.
I received my RCA 7189 tubes this morning, currently they are burning in on the Tuba. I took a quick listen and they have pretty great soundstage. I need more listening time to fully grasp how they sound. Hopefully they sound even better after some burn in.
I bought the XLR version of these yesterday. We’ll see how good they are.
