What did you buy today? (Part 1)

so I got those OEM samsung IEMs in and been listening to them for a bit. super comfortable to my ears, they have a nice rubber coating where it makes contact wiht your ears and the nozzle size is perfect and doesnt dig too dee, They sounded surprisingly good with a nice V shape. the bass region is great very present and seems to be able to reach pretty deep, the mids are ok but pulled back and the treble was present but no sibilance well done and isnt at all unpleasant. it has better tuning than most V shaped IEMs twice or even 3 to 4 times the price that I got it for. then I started looking up where I can get a few more pairs just to have and apparently almost impossible to get a legit pair online. feels like mh755s alll over again. all Im saying is to you android boys looking into buying a samsung phone DM me cause I might buy that IEM off you

A new mouse. Don’t play Darksiders 3 when you have been couped in and highly strung…

bought the phoenix wright trilogy, bioshock infinite DLC, DOOM 2016, and preordered Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. also got that free GTA V

ah nice my lil bro uses one too big and heavy for me certainly too big for him but he doesnt know any better lol

not that i think of it i probably need a bigger mouse myself… it drags on my mousepad too much (using an M510 btw because i need wireless for laptop)… i need like a few centimeters longer and a decent amount wider… i have moderate sized hands

I’ve been used to this shape many years with the G5 in high school. Think that’s what it was. Had weights in it. Like a heavy mice actually.

This… taken out of context

XLR to 2.5mm adapter and second Blon BL-03 off Drop so I can leave one at the office, I’d have a real shit day if I forgot headphones at home and had to listen to the mouth breathers for 8 hours. Ordered a IEM mesh replacement from Aliexpress to mod the Blons and any future IEMs that need it, hope to have it some time next month though.

Nitecore TIP2 light should be arriving this week.

It’s now technically a different day…

New cable for the Blons I’m keeping portable, balanced, black and carbon fiber connection, straight instead of 90* bend, and I like the memory curve around the ears. Keeping the stock for work set of Blons for now.

To use the balanced on the got, opted for the Shanling UP4 over the BTR5, like the idea of the volume knob much better, if the case is crap might have my friend print something out that works better haha.

Nice the DV is a pretty sweet amp curious to hear your thoughts

I have a set of these that came with m S9. I use them for my conference calls since they are the one thing I have with a mic. Never really thought to listen to music with them. I’ll have to give them a fair shake today and see what they sound like for something besides Google meetings.

Mine died sadly lol. The right ear was more quiet than the left and would go in and out. Personally I found the treble extremely harsh to my ears, but for others they probably wouldn’t have the same problem. I did take the tips they came with to use on other things, really good wide opening tips, super small and comfy.

I’m not the most sensitive when it come to treble fortunately enough a d generally not picky with my gear as long as it doesn’t offend me too much. They are tuned by akg which is owned by Harman so the Harman shout is a bit there

IT HAS ARRIVEDDDD

Smelled a little weird out of the box. Threw some old english on the cups, cleaned the headband, and switched the pads. Turns out the cowhide headstrap I bought from ZMF for a replacement only has 1 hole and 1 screw on each side as opposed to the 2 this requires. RIP, so I’ll just use what came with.

Initial impressions. I like the sound. The mids sound a tiny bit recessed to me. Bass is smexy. Treble is nice and clear. Detail is easy to retrieve. Sounds crystalline but a tiny bit muddy at times to my ears (if that makes any sense at all)(I probably just have to adjust to the sound). Dynamics are soooooo much better than my open backs rn. Isolation feels on par with 770s (so not super great). Imaging and separation are stelllllar. Soundstage feels very open for a closed back. Comfort is ridiculously good, but I can’t really headbang anymore and have them feel like they’re gonna stay on my head lol. Gonna let em break in a bunch before I make any final judgements though.

Am a very happy boi

Edit : I can hear audio equipment hiss (barely audible) in a lot of recordings. Took me a while to verify it was the tracks and not a piece of my gear. This is new. Also cymbals are super splashy, but in what I would say is almost the right way. Is very interesting.
