I like the Drop offer on the HPA V280, but I am just too poor for that. Instead I bought an 18 month old V220 last night:
I just got my tracking info! Now it feels real.

anyone of you guys know how long that sale will be going for? like when the deadline is
Iām not sure, itās the first time I bought for Adorama. It might be for until Tuesday to get over the Memorial Day holiday, or be until supplies last as people have stated Focal is discontinuing the Elegia. I went ahead and pounced on it as they have a pretty generous return policy if I come to my senses, but didnāt want to miss out on the deal!
for shits and gigglesā¦ some serious audiophile headphonesā¦ KPH30i !!!
Topping a90, want to see what topping can do with their higher end now that they fixed the output impedance issues
My Dr. Pro speaker stands got wrecked during my last move. Decided to strip the vinyl off and get some walnut vinyl for it. Came in today.
Well, damn. Iām no handyman by any means but these came out better than expected. I just gotta spray paint the base and platform.
How are they? Iāve been looking at these or moondrop blessing 2.
Iām an IEM newb. This is only my 3rd set, but I donāt think Iāll be touching my headphones for a while.
Damn. Thatās telling haha.
I have the FH 7 and I like them a lot. They arenāt āperfectā but what is in this hobby? I use a balanced 4.4 cable with my Fiio M15 and prefer them to the Moondrop S8 that most rank above. Personal preferences in full effect, but I like these as much as anything else I own aside from my Audeze LCD-i4
The big reason I went with the FH7 was because of the beryllium dynamic driver & Zeosā rec. Iām a big fan of dynamic slam, and the FH7 is delivering a mind bending amount of bass frequencies that are incredibly detailed yet slam quite hard. The FH7 is also capable of incredible high frequencies as well.
I am treble sensitive so I have the red filters in to tame them as much as possible. The balanced filter was on the verge of uncomfortable for me.
Overall, the FH7 is more detailed and more extended than any headphone I own. Itās also not as warm as what Iām used to, yet Iām really enjoying listening to my music through them.
IEMs will never be able to compete with headphones for comfort but their technical capabilities are undeniable. I guess I just have to get used to having something jammed into my ears.
Take this all with a grain of salt since Iām an IEM noob. Iām a headphone guy just now entering the world of IEMs.
EDIT: Dekoni bulletz tips reduce a lot of detail and high frequencies and bring these more in-line with what I am used to listening to headphones. A much more relaxed signature. So many options!
I personally avoid foam tips like the plague exactly for the loss in detail you mention. I like headphones to be on the warm and relaxing side, but I prefer iems to be razor sharp for whatever reason. I usually start with the included tips, but if all else fails I will change to some of the backups Iāve accumulated.
Well, was originally planning on getting a Liquid Spark and Sennheiser 58X, but budget changed sadly so I ended up going with the spark and Koss KPH30i to sort of tide me until I can get the Sennheiserās. And HOLY SMOKES I didnt wanna believe the hype but these things are great lol. And on here Iāve seen them called ābaby 58Xāsā So Iām kinda getting an idea of the sound to expect when I finally get those.
Koss makes gear that scales up quite well. Look up the HP-3 and to me, they have a similar feel to those headphones but significantly different timbre.
This just came in to complete my portable setup. Iāll be running it between my phone and my Dragonfly Red.
I count 14 in there?
