Balanced output goes to my new Liquid Platinum. The gain on that amp is ridiculous, so I might be looking for a balanced preamp to limit the signal going into it.
Single ended output feeds my Archel2 Pro and Cavalli tube hybrid.

Used. its got cracks and missing pieces. still sounds great appearently though. I heard its V shaped. cant wait to hear it. After i dip it in antiseptic.

I didn’t post this since I was going to wait until it arrived. But since you mentioned headphone sanitation, I did pick this up since I’ll have some headphones going up for sale when I get around to posting them, and I’ll be getting some used things in as well.

I’m more worried about germs than corona lol. I got OCD. I was thinking of taking it apart and giving it a thorough cleaning

TL;DR Don’t be in the same rooom as the lamp, don’t look in the glow, don’t play with it.
Edit: UVC degrades plastic rather quickly, so limit exposure

You are correct! It is the one thing preventing me from replacing my SU-8. Using my TH-610’s today with my new balanced cable on the LP and I can’t go past 9:00 and newer music is more like 8:30. And that is with my DAC turned down.
I am thinking that some DAC’s will make the LP unusable to the point where I have to buy a preamp.

Found the instructions in the downloadable manual and made sure tonight it was set to NOS.

AFAIK, They never went on sale, just made their rounds in trade shows. Still, to go from that (essentially a prototype) to the LCD-2 rev. 1 is damn impressive. Can anyone share how the OG LCD-1 sounded?
I might - probably not, but just maybe - switch things around, putting the Ares with the SH-8 and the SU-8 with the LP to better manage the Zs on these amps.

Worth it, but you need an attenuator (iFi dongle) for pretty much all iems.
Picked up this pair of Triangle Titus 202s for $50 locally! My first set of speakers and I see why people say that heaphones/iems don’t compare. Just ordered some Monoprice stands for them.

I think I will also try RCA input, just for giggles.
In the Head-Fi thread, Dr. Cavalli stated that you wouldn’t notice much, if any, difference on the input side.
But of course use balanced out, when possible.

Yessir, grabbed them 2 days ago and have been using them 5 hours a day since. Guy had them listed for $200 initially and he mustve been desperate because he kept dropping price lower and lower and when they hit $80 I offered $50 and he accepted lol, works out perfect because I have so little into them i’ll never feel the need to sell them like I usually do with more expensive audio gear.
