First impressions after about an hour of use. I need to drive these 2.5 as hard as my Stellias (32Ohms) on my hugo tt2.
Stage is definitely wider, not as wide as I was expecting but I shouldn’t have expected anything because I’ve never owned open backs before.
Imaging is pin point and precise.
Slightly sibilant, Possibly not used to the detail. But the the slightness to a degree I expect it to go away as I break in the headphones.
Not as detailed as my stellias, this is not necessarily a bad thing. Just different.
Edit: Its smoothing out a bit even now after about 90 minutes
I’m done. My experiment with finding the rate at which returns diminish has concluded. The findings: “it’s a slippery slope”.
This gear actually makes me appreciate the quality of sound available for reasonable prices. It’s a great time to be alive!
Some may not believe it, but this actually is the last headphone purchase I’ll be making for the foreseeable future.
Continued testing of the T1. Due to me not having my Ifi yet I’m using my built in audio and Audio out on my interface in my downstairs set up.
Meeeehhhhh
they can get loud enough but the thinness they impart in the upper range make the sibilance more noticeable.
Edit, did some down and dirt (reversible) tuning on the pads and its improved significantly with this compromised set up
That is a LOT of money in one pic. Hopefully you have found audio perfection.
Having just picked up Susvara, I can relate to that statement–not only from the wallet-damage factor, but also from a place of sheer audio bliss. The itch to keep exploring is thoroughly scratched.
Congrats on your plunge into the Abyss.
On a lighter, cheaper, and more juvenile note…
MSRP 299€
eBay find 80 £
Owning a piece of you childhood ( literally rented this VHS every other weekend -restriction make by parents- for a year.)
Priceless…
It’s an awesome set, and a very fun build.
Cheers!
Two extention cables made at the same shop that did my ZMF cables, so same wire. It was impossible to find a decent 1/4’ male to 1/4’ female, so I mailed them and asked if they could do it.
No problem and at an affordable price.
I ordered some TRN MMCX cable from them since the previous KZ Silver Copper cable for my T2s got a bit of a problem when every time I move the cable a bit, the left ear piece loses a bit of sound and I am afraid that I need a replacement for it as well.
That’s sexy.
jesus that tube amp is a beauty!
Ordered a Balanced cable for my T1s and a balanced 4 pin to single ended 1/4 inch adaptor. Both off amazon. Both pretty highly rated.
Will invest in hart audio cable or oidio later on right now combined this was the cheapest fastest option available to me
Edit: Cable is KK Cable and Adapter is NewFantasia
Nice.
Side note. What kind of AV rack is that?
It’s a standard 16U server rack with shelves, it’s been a pretty good solution for me.
