Lol, I’ve found adding an external dac for the T0’s was a noticeable improvement, and rather than disconnecting my headphone amps everytime to plug into the speakers, I’m getting the d10.
The beyers though, most notable I’ve got my hd6xx, argons, sendys - I’m trying to convince myself I don’t need another pair *so soon. #blameM0N🛡️
#blameMarlFox? Lol I was never a fan of dark cans, I found my mh751 or even the hd6xx (sometimes I wished I went for the hd600 instead) to be as dark as I’d ever want.
ps I’m old & I came from grados as my first pair of cans.
Just ordered a monitor. Not the one I WANTED, but I also don’t feel like ordering now, and hoping it comes back in stock in time for me to get at the end of the month.
Because the ONLY flat VA is absolute dog shit, I don’t want TN (terrible color reproduction and deal breaker viewing angels), and IPS brings things out of my price range for high refresh rate.
The viewing angle on my TN is just fine, color isn’t amazing but its good enough as I don’t do photo editing. was 250 for a 27inch 1440p 144hz 1ms delay.
I’m only allowed up to a 24" display, I’ll be viewing it off access a good bit of the time, and I will be self teaching color work for video and photo editing.
Edit: I’ve also gotten to see TN and IPS side by side, and it’s like listening to a really good high bit rate, well recorded song, then listening another in mono with low bitrates and mono and terribly recorded.
Curved is just bad for looking at off angle as half of the screen will be curved away from view. So you have to settle. Curved screen, low frame rate, or TN. but what you settle for is really determined by what your primary use case is. if you are gaming color be damned you want highest frame rate possible, photo editing fuck frames.
