What did you buy today? (Part 1)

That is correct. Bruce at wabi sabi does awesome custom wood cups. He has an etsy and eBay page as well iirc.

apparently not based on what I have heard people say

@A_COC0NUT dont look

is the 80 driver your favorite to use? i havent’ experienced anyof their 50 mm

I’m just familiar with modding the sr model drivers. Disassembly of the plastic cups is much easier than the metal or wood.

Also, there are some phenomenal aftermarket drivers that can be used such as the Nhoord Red V2 drivers, Symphone Magnum drivers, or Elleven Acoustica Epsilon drivers.

ohhh perfect, is this what you do? i think i saw you said you were building some of your own, thanks for the links. im already thinking of my own Gradostein

They are nice aren’t they? I love mine. Cool about three items for filler. I only got two, but that was quite a while ago.

I’m thinking the same thing, but in a different light. if you’re gonna buy headphones and replace everything in them…why not just make your own new / fresh / different headphone? LoL!

This damn cult has made me soo close to buying the NHC from that NL seller on eBay but I put a bid and won a Little Dot III, and did a raid on alibaba for T2, some IEM cables and the Drop Blon 3, kph30i and I think I have some KSC75 on the way…

Need to cool down a bit and just get to know the DT880-600s…

I bought the Linsoul mystery package which is meant to have two items worth over $30 each for $30, they shipped it today and they could only ship one item so gave me a $20 gift card lol

SPIDIF distribution amplifier, relatively inexpensive model…

Also, I just realized I’m bored and purely putzing (messing) around with equipment at this point…I am very thankful to be in a position in life where I can do such silly things. I feel like I can appreciate what I have in hand, enjoy and understand a variety of sound signatures and learn to appreciate the audiophile hobby without the constant urge to upgrade or have the newest gadget in hand. I still look at everything and anything audio related daily but that burning desire/urge to really get my hands on things has passed…(Thank goodness too, this is an expensive hobby!)

Those are gorgeous. How do they sound?

I couldn’t buy from NL but they’re cheaper, around 225 plus shipping iirc.

Because, why not?

Dt1990 Pro from Beyerdynamic directly. Need to compare to the 880 600 Ohm. Still thinking of getting one of the 3 availiable B-stock T1.2 to compare them aswell…

They are still enroute to me to. But from who made them, " SR80e with better bass and maybe a tad more linear in the treble and upper mids. Less tinny sounding than original SR80e". :sunglasses:

I made 1 pair that the only original grado part was the steel headband, lol.
