Hello,
No the Singxer would have to have its own power supply.
I have unchecked all power supplies in Windows under Device Manager.
But it didn’t help.
I know it’s an expensive thing, and maybe a simple usb card over Pcie would have done it too.
But honestly I couldn’t find anything bad about the Element H.
What I did suspect was the power supply of the pc that is already 11 years old and maybe it would have been cheaper to replace it with a more modern one, but it would have been a suspicion.
But now I don’t hear anything anymore, it is all pitch black in the background and I won.
Ohhh, they’re here…the tubes are here and they are real, they are the real deal! I was so friggin doubtful they would survive the trip or that a dozen other horrible things would go wrong These were sooo hard to find and actually acquire and I owe it all to a great friend whose shop I will do exclusive business with no matter what!
New NOS Western Electric 300B’s. Hype is hype what can I say, I drank the koolaid😍
Happy holidays to all and happy listening to you alll always, I’m so happy to have a place to share my joy.
Honestly going from memory it sounds a lot like the first version just with a Deva style headband. So far there appears to be no QC issues with the unit I have. Early thoughts, I still prefer the Sundara over the 560 or the 5XX.
Short impressions so far, the Dac Signature is warmer, slightly better staging, and a bit fuller sounding so far when compared to the Modius. It appears the other dynamics are close to the same level. Probably will be able to tell more of a difference as I spend more time with it.
Same, lol. I’m really set, too–I don’t need anything else at this point, but I saw those and thought, “obvious Fostex clone marked down from $600 to $200? That has real potential!” So I impulse bought it. That turned out to be a great move.
I’m working from home these days, and I typically have one headphone dedicated to calls and business (and light listening) and another as “flavor of the week” for music. I benched Ether CX to explore the Denon a bit. It has less quantity, but much better quality bass than my Fostex purplehearts (not surprising). Mids are not forward, but also not overly recessed. They have a pleasant sort of velvety tuning to them. Highs are crisp.
Overall, the impression I got from the 5200s so far is a little bit warm, a little bit laid back, very mild V maybe. They were a nice pleasant listen after a long workday–the kind of headphone that would pair well with a stiff drink and some Sinatra, perhaps. I’m quite glad I took a chance on them; they fit in well with the two Fostex I own and have enough unique personality to be an interesting addition to the collection. At the sale price they were a steal.
So overall the HE 560 is a bit harder to drive. Due to the headband design, the 560 has a far stronger clamp then the Sundara. The earpads are a touch thicker on the He560. In terms of sound, the 560 has more bass extension and overall stronger body in the bass region. The Treble region is much better defined and a bit smoother on the Sundara and the HE560 is the brighter headphone of the two. With the HE560 being a bit brighter, the treble is a bit more forward as well. The mids on both headphones sounds mostly the same. I want to say the mids on the Sundara are a touch better.
I want to say the overall sound quality is a bit better on the Sundara.
If one thought the Sundara was too neutral, the HE560 does give it a bit more body at the expense of the treble losing some of its control.
