I wanted to order the Moondrop Nameless, but instead got the Spaceship. Lame sound compared to what in-ears I have but pretty interesting shape and size. At least Shenzhen Audio gave me $10 back. Also got an acrylic stand bc why not…
This concludes my 11.11-BFCM purchases, on a somewhat disappointing end note. I picked up the Thie L5, Moondrop B2, Shuoer Tape Pro, and the Peacock/Reecho Spring. Best takeaways was the L5, B2, and the shuoer tape pro stock cable.
So, after seeing Z mention them in a recent unboxing, and seeing how cheap they were, I ordered a pair of the Tin T1+. And I’m giving them their first listen right now. Not bad, definitely not neutral. A bit bass heavy but enjoyable as far as I’m concerned. Don’t think I’ll be switching to foam tips, as they tend to emphasize bass for me. But for $30 I don’t think I’ll be complaining.
USB upgrade cable came in today: Shunyata Research Venom USB Cable
So far a much cleaner respone and enjoyable sound overall, will have a go for a week and switch back to a basic USB to hear the differences, oh and also purchased a Yggdrasil today.
Just an update on the Eletech Prudence cable. Very impressed. Absolutely zero memory on the cable, and thin enough that I don’t notice it when I’m wearing it at all. So far I’ve only used it with the u12t’s and I’ve had to reduce the volume 5-10db from my normal listening volume. I need a little more time with them to determine what, if any, audible differences they make, but they check off the aesthetics and ergonomics for sure.
I also bought a bunch of tubes today, but nothing noteworthy-just replenishing my stash
The best I can do would be using my new usb cable for a week, then switching back. I was skeptical too about purchasing a $99 USB cable, but ive had cheap ones fail on me, this one is built well and has a good reputation. I’m happy with the sound and build so far, a win win in my mind.
