That box looks really new and is throwing up some red flags. Amperex never advertised “Bugle Boy” on their boxes in the '50s and '60s, as that name was provided by collectors not Amperex itself:

The Bugle Boy tubes are being reproduced today! The box of the new tubes is even an identical green-and-yellow like the original, but it says “Bugle Boy” on it, and some even show the cartoon tube on the box. Original Amperex tubes NEVER had the words “Bugle Boy”, or the cartoon tube, on the box. The Bugle Boy moniker is a slang name that audiophiles coined for the the little cartoon tube on the tube’s label. The new tubes have fooled even some seasoned audiophiles! These are junky Chinese made tubes with the old label. The company vending them says they have the original burn-in racks from the old Holland factory. Big deal!! The old burn-in racks are not going to help a crappy tube. Stick with the vintage tubes while you still can!

I’m not here to speculate about tube history which is convoluted and impossible to trace origins of. I’m here to talk about and listen to music.
It’s like telling me a wine that I think tastes decent is just a rebrand of another cheaper wine brand. If the result is the same and there’s not a big markup I simply won’t care.
It’s a fascinating sounding tube btw.

I mean, if you got them for cheap and they were labeled as modern production reissues from Eastern Europe or China, then more power to you.
It is our second bedroom and truthfully, it’s a store room. My wife is, let’s say, a collector. The corner by the window is my “office” and the opposite corner holds my movie collection.
The sun comes in hard and bright in the afternoon, so that was what she had laying around. I would love to see some vertical blinds. We’ll see what happens in a few months.

I bought more shares of $KOSS before it grew exponentially today. Now that I have covered my losses, if it continues to go up, I will use my earnings to buy more Koss headphones lol.
