Try Hart Audio Cables

@Onaha I was actually close to buying a cable like that but again availability seems to be a problem for this kinda stuff on the UK Amazon site.

@A_COC0NUT That cable looks pretty amazing ngl, but again the 4.4mm MMCX isn’t delivering to UK atm it seems lmao

@BluJay614 I’ve had a look at their stuff and it looks seriously nice, however I think maybe a bit too hefty for me - I’m using this cable mainly on the move (bus)

Thanks for the recommendations guys! I might keep my eye out on amazon if the LSC08 is available again, looks nice. I ended up just ordering another Tripowin C8 from linsoul, hopefully delivery doesn’t take too long.

Eh, to each their own. I use mine at my ā€œdeskā€ and when I’m out and about.

KSC75 are so much more fun than KPH30i.
Change My Mind.

I mean it’s preference. Im a bit a of bass head so fun to me has a lot to do with bass which the kph 30 i provides more of

Well, after a lot of debating myself, I bought ā€œtheā€ DAC. Went vintage because it was a good price, ($275 incl shipping) during its time it was very well reviewed and finally buying something will remove the upgradeitis for the foreseeable future as my system is complete.

I can rest.

Thoughts on porta pro vs kph30i bass? … I was listening to both to solidify the kph30i as my preference and I found the 30i bass more controlled whereas the porta pro was a little bloaty but my ear isn’t the best admittedly lol

…row and rows of humming machinery. I’ve never seen so many knobs!

Fellow Atlas owner; no experience with Orion…

The Atlas are bass cannons, and I almost passed them up for that fact. I enjoy powerful bass once in a while, but that’s not something I want all the time; it’s great for some genres but just doesn’t work for everything. As a point of comparison, I tried to use the Fostex TR-X00 Ebony as my office cans at one time, and they lasted maybe a week before excess bass wore me out.

Atlas pleasantly surprised me by retaining very clear and engaging mids–they simply sound recessed in the track–like they are not taking center stage, but instead letting the bass and highs shine. I very much enjoy the presentation and think I could use them as daily drivers, if they didn’t have so much other competition in my collection.

I have experienced problems with driver flex and ā€œlockoutā€ with my Atlas with silicone tips, so I consider foam tips a necessity with them. The driver flex can cause a very loud PING when inserting them, which is disconcerting both for my hearing and for the IEMs themselves. And even when getting a good seal with silicone tips I would sometimes get little to no sound out of one or both IEMs. I discovered online that other had reported these same issues with Atlas, so I think it’s something inherent to the design and not just my pair. Using foam tips (and squishing them down / letting them expand in my ears) I get none of these problems.

Atlas are also very small and despite feeling very weighty / dense in the hand, they are easy to fit and weight is not an issue when they’re in place.

All in all, I’m a big fan of Atlas and very happy to have them in my collection. I also have Andromeda Gold and Solaris (my wife has OG Andros). Solaris are my favorites because they most closely align with my preferred sound signature, but sometimes the day just calls for Atlas.

Sounds similar to the Polaris that I bought and sold a few months back. I liked the Polaris, but they sounded too similar to the Ikko OH-1 for me to want to keep them.

That’s what my expectation is. I own and really love the TRX Ebony and Empyreans, so I think I am a natural fit for these. But most days I will probably end up listening to the Andromedas just as those headphones aren’t my daily drivers

But they cut down treble so much! KSC75 with a bass boost have plenty enough while still having great detail imo.
Fine if you like them though. Personally I can’t live with the loss of treble and the huge mid and high bass bloat.

Don’t have either right now so can’t compare aside from enjoying both when I did try them

But I can do the same to the treble of the others. Stock I personally just enjoy the others more. Not that I don’t like the KSC 75s they stay in my collection for a reason they have a use case and I use em for that

Also I’m not one for detail or treble extension. As much as I like splashy sparkly treble I just love my bass

Fair enough.
I’m a sub bass head and a clear treble head.

Should change thread to ā€˜What did you buy today or receive in the mail?’

Lol, I share when I receive stuff, not when I buy it. :man_shrugging:

Otherwise it’s like, ā€œhey, how does this FX-Audio tube thing sound?ā€ -ā€œAh, I’ll receive it in one monthā€ :no_mouth:
