Good thing I held back on my KSC75s
I plan on getting these next. Hope you like them.
Quite good actually, I’m reminded of Tea2’s signature but this one is actually feels elevated on all region except sub-bass but signature is quite similar.
BGVP E01 Tips aka Budget Final E Types and a new headband replacement for my Koss KPH30i since the original headband broke. Shame the color is not the same as the original band but hey at least it still works.
Reading posts i was convinced to buy the Olina SE. I want to hear what a 3D sound stage is like. Im also almost ready to get my first buds and need a little convincing to get the Ripples. I just remember my last buds experience with the crappy free ones fro the early 2000s. They never fit my ears properly and i remember them always falling out. Ripples anyone?
The only reason not to get Ripples is to not ruin your music-listening experience on the very first earbud you hear.
They are FUCKING PHENOMENAL!!!
Oops . I didnt see this so i messaged you knowing youre a Ripples fan. For non-bass heavy music like edm/hip hop and more vocal/orchestral/acoustic would the Ripples beat the Serratus?
It still depends on a couple of factors: even though you don’t need a lot of bass, do you prefer sub-bass or mid-bass? Do you prefer more natural sound or are you okay with bigger, more exaggerated treble? Serratus is airier with more soundstage. Ripples is more intimate with better dynamic range
Thanks to the freeze here in Texas, we’ve had allot of downed tree branches.
Hell, had one fall where I park my truck while I was away from home.
My new favorite remedy:
Glad that your vehicle was spared!
Thanks Brandon. I do like sub-bass but its not necessary for this set. I just picked up the maestro minis for that! I’d prefer a more natural sound with excellent dynamics and lots of detail. Sound like the Ripples?
It does, yes
Thanks for helping me move into the world of earbuds!! Ripples here I come…
Finished building some bass traps. I only need to wrap the traps on the right with some good looking fabric (They’re only covered in weeds mats yet).
I also received a 25% student discount code for Dirac Live and will set everything up this weekend
I’m diggin’ it. I love the KEFs. As much as I love my Triangles, I sometimes think about getting these. Is that an 8-inch sub? Subs are so nice, aren’t they? I’m lovin’ mine.
Have you done any writeups that detail the effects of your work? I think that might be a good read.
Decided to take a gamble on the Zeos hype and picked up the Swans OS-10. They have very good clarity/detail for the price. Sadly, they’re also pretty lacking in bass
I might do a complete writeup when everything is completely finished.
The system so far is: LS50, Canton Sub 601 (8 inch) and a Denon PMA 1500 RII as an amp.
The sub really helped with the room modes and to get sub bass (LS50 roll off at around 60Hz).
Bass still isn’t perfect in my small room.
Getting a second sub and using Dirac bass control to set everything up could help to get rid of some nulls and peaks but I don’t really have the space for that and it’s not really necessary in a single listening position.
