Felt like the Ebay listing for the Denafrips Ares II was too high (ended at ~$910 shipping inc.), went to Audio Mart found the same one on sale $825 w/ shipping included and snapped that up quick.
Still higher than previous listings Iâve seen, but fully worth it to finally complete a proper desktop hifi source chain catered to my tastes.
Grabbed a qdc 8SL (Universal) on impulse that was heavily discounted. Hopefully itâs worth it.
Vision Ears Phonix acquired. Next up is the Xenon 6 and iâll be done for a while⌠or at least I think I will be lol.
Another instabuy and welcome oatmeal February. 7Hz Eternal.
Chifi is pumping harder than Schwarzenegger in the 80s.
7Hz hasnât tuned anything noteworthy before the Timeless, I wouldnât assume theyâve done a great job with a giant DD before I can read some reviews. So many companies have a lucky one hit wonder (BL03, Andromeda) and especially as the tech is different between this and the Timeless⌠weâll just have to see.
I hope they learned from the Timeless tuning-wise. I just couldnât resist that saphire glass plate. It looks stunning and with the latest driver tech it becomes harder to produce crappy IEMs.
The Shuoer S12 was actually delivered on Sunday, but I just forgot to post it here. This is a brighter take on the Timeless, it has some things I like, price, shape, fit, but the Timeless has better sub-bass, and accessories ( like the case and ear tips ). Technically both are great, and I am happy to have both.
Just a few things I picked up on the way home
Yes, I vape, but only outside.
When I got home, I find this monthâs subscription box came in. In it was some Bleach stickers and a Saber figure
among other things⌠includingâŚ
Well, fuck.
Took a chance on a Pwnage mystery box. Got one of their SYMM mice with all of the colored shells that are available for it:
This came pretty quick and sounds incredible but sucks having two separate volume control which does become useful when hearing becomes unequal. Basically itâs set for my 1266 and donât touch the volume. Also 60lbs per amp so it stays on the floor.
Other tube amp is Little Dot LD-Y2 300b and is damn good just donât ask Little Dot questions as the one guy is a dumbass. He likes to assume too much. His ass u me caused me to solder in new resistors. Though they suck itâs great sounding amp.
Wow, dual 60lbâers.
Well letâs see the positives, no need for a fitness studio unplug your tube amps lift and do a few rounds and your good to go XD
Is the Valyrian 3 worth it? I want to upgrade my Zeus sub ohm but am not sure if the price jump is justified
I like it. Thereâs not too much screen customization, and it is a bit of a finger print magnet, but itâs been good. It is a little chunky. However, it feels good in the hands, seems to run rather effectively, has type-C (why does anyone still put micro on their vapes anymore?!?), hits nice. I kinda wish they used the same top fill system on the tank as they used on the Crown V, as even after the guy at the shop brought up heâs had a different one for years and it hasnât failed⌠it still leaves me questioning the longevity. It might be placebo, but Iâm convinced the mod can make a difference not as much as different fluid and different coils.
I do wish the fire button was on the side.
Itâs slightly shorter but a bit wider then the Mdura Pro.
Ever so slightly shorter then a Drag 3, but only by a millimeter at most.
I havenât tried the 3 yet but the 2 is the best sub ohm tank Iâve ever had. Coils last over a month and it rarely leaks.
Yeah, I hate it when you get a tank that doesnât hold alot, yet chugs fluid, and burns through coils in a week.
Had a couple of smok tanks that just werenât worth the hype they had.
The TFV-18 tank is nice and all, but it needs to be that big with how fast it goes through fluid. Doesnât exactly give great flavor though
